Nerd sex icon and indie darling Zooey Deschanel is the celebrity guest judge on Top Chef Masters next week, where she will irritate the chefs with her dietary restrictions. She’s vegan, is gluten intolerant, and doesn’t eat soy. What will the chefs create for her?
Keep in mind these are the same people who came up with such winning dishes as swordfish meatballs (Chef Michael Chiarello), tongue tacos (Chef Rick Bayless), and korean steak tartare (Chef Anita Lo).

Ditto! I’m a veggie too! That’s my prob with cooking shows in general. Paula gets to tawkin’ to the raw chickens and chit and I just gotta change channels.

I loved Zoooooooey on Weeds. I would like to think that’s what I’d be like if I had no boobs and blue eyes.
I’m a Top Chef fan and a vegan. I’ve always wished for a veggie challenge that goes beyond tofu. I’m psyched to be able to watch the Chefs discover and create delicious vegan food!
I’m excited about this. As a vegetarian, I get depressed thinking about how I could never ever go on one of these cooking shows, even if I was an amazing chef, because people are so obsessed with their proteins. It will be refreshing to see food on this show that I could actually enjoy.

I like how Zooooooooey glows. Her skin frakkin glows, people. She’s like a human firefly.
