Snooki used to get her orange glow with tanning beds, but since President Obama approved an increased tax on tanning, she's spraying it on now.
Cosmo editor Kate White agrees. "I really don't tan...I do get spray tans, though," Kate told Crushable. "I love how I look after one. The first hour or so you look a little freaky, but the next day it's fabulous."
"It's very simple, just wear SPF," Kristen Bell told Crushable. "This is going to sound obnoxious but I wear 100 [SPF] when I go out into the sun, when I'm going to have a day in the park or go for a hike. On a day to day basis, my body lotion and face lotion both have 30 so I find that is a pretty good day to day number."
Kristen said she wears SPF 100 because she doesn't like to reapply often. "It's annoying," she acknowledged. "I'm not going to say it's the easiest thing in the world. It's kind of gross and sometimes it's sticky, but you can try a couple different brands, and in the end it's really worth it."
For swimsuit model Marisa Miller, being tan is an occupational hazard. But she's given up tanning beds. "Don't go to a tanning bed, that was my mistake," she told us. "In my early 20's I heard all the tanning salons tell you, 'Oh this bed is better than the outdoors.' There's all this misinformation out there...it's not worth putting yourself at risk for a tan. There's so many good bronzing and self-tanning products. I really like the lotions because they have a little bit of self-tanner and you can build a gradual tan. And it's very user friendly."
"Look, I grew up in the 80's. I'm 41, and I grew up in a tanning bed. And I didn't know then that it was so bad," Kristin Chenoweth confessed to Crushable. "I also grew up at the swimming pool and in the South. Kristen Bell and I, we both have skin issues. She's very fair-skinned, I'm Native American, so she's been my friend who is always like, "Kristin, SPF, get out of the sun, get out of the sun." ...I do try and I do the spray tan, I do my own Neutrogena [self-tanner]."

Such good advice! I’m proud to say that I haven’t used a tanning bed in a year, but this article made me make an appointment with my dermatologist. Gotta get those moles checked!
