Behind every good woman is a superior cleaning product. And beneath the cleaning product clings a mud girl. I’ve always said that. I’ve also always said first cousins should be allowed to marry, but usually that’s just my loneliness talking… at family reunions.

But the gal in this new commercial for Swiffer is simply (th)inspirational! She has a DIY style, she knows what she likes and when she sees what she wants she’s not opposed to dropping all dignity to run straight for it and hold on for dear life. It’s like when one of the food stations in Costco brings out a fresh batch of microwave pizzas – it doesn’t matter if my sweatpants are drenched in pickle juice from the tower of jars I knocked over en route, every piece of that pepperoni personal pizza will be mine. Mine.

This ad really speaks to me as a single woman who puts love and cleaning supplies in the same family. Along with my cat, Rhoda, and my Jane Austen collection.
