Kids’ book-turned-movie Beezus & Ramona opened this past weekend to less-than-stellar box office results, coming in a dismal sixth place. Even The Sorcerer’s Apprentice, starring Nic Cage’s cheapest toupee, did better.
It got us thinking about another iconic book series from our childhood we think would be a huge hit on the big screen. That’s right, The Babysitter’s Club. Yes, OK, it’s been made into a TV movie or two, but let’s be honest – those don’t really count.
**A note on our picks: Reading BSC at 8 years old, the characters seemed, like, sooo grown-up. As such, our picks skew older than the middle school demographic. But hey, this is Hollywood – you can be a teen well into your twenties!

I’m not sure if BSC appeals to the Gossip Girl generation but, I’d go see it.

I say Sue (from The Middle) has a role somewhere, she is total geek which is always how I envisioned Mallory. Girl above is too good looking!
