China’s Water World Resort Might Come Sooner Than Planned

In 2007, designers working in Shanghai created an award-winning model of a Dubai-styled resort that they hoped would boost the tourism industry of China: a real-life Water World! Why we would want to be reminded that global warming will soon force us to live in a crappy Kevin Costner movie is another question entirely, but the designs for the park look pretty friggin cool, like some sort of Mario level in 3D. Councidently a dam for a reservoir in Western China’s reservoir broke last week due to their giant June rainfall, so basically this is the right time to start pitching an underwater Utopia to the country’s citizens.
