Since she'll be spending most of her days sitting at a desk, creating apps like Angry Birds, Barbie needs a comftorable seat-cushion to protect her from the steel cabinet she normally sits on.

When working on encoding new programs for your lifecast, it's important to always carry your iPhone...even while typing on your computer.
Nothing says "I'm busy working at my desk right now" then a hands-free Bluetooth.
Pro-tip: Create open-source software on your giant desktop, but then secretly read Gawker headlines on your bright pink laptop right next to it.
Yikes. We smell a Hackers sequel.
Barbie shows us that even though she may be in bed with Steve Jobs, Ken and penguins will always have her heart.

My favorite is Ball Barbie
I really wonder if there was any demand for this chick before christmas hit.
The Harley Davidson edition barbie was always a tough contestant to my Godzilla toy when I was a kid. My sister had almost every barbie released for 4 years straight. I bet we see an influx in registered Computer Science majors because of this Barbie lol.

I am smitten with Computer Engineer Barbie. I wish she came in an African American version, because holy crap, I know we’re rare, but we do exist! :’(
Anyway. My favorite Barbie. Uh. I was tickled pink when I got Flying Hero Barbie for Christmas, flinging her about the room for maybe 10 minutes after opening her, until her arm broke. You’d think a flying hero wouldn’t break so easily.
I would say my *favorite* Barbie is the one I carried with me through high school (until she was stolen, but later returned) and took to college is a mash-up Barbie. It’s a Hula Hair Barbie (orange/pink hair), wearing her bikini top, Workin’ Out Barbie’s suction-cup shoes, and another Barbie’s pink sweatpants. Her hair was awesome, and with her purloined shoes, she could walk almost anywhere! Since she had bendy-limbs, she could fit in my purse, and when I was bored in class, oh hey look it’s Barbie! She needs to learn math too…
Always a champion for the underdog, I never wanted a Barbie. Oh no. Barbie had everything: amazing clothes, a house, a car, boyfriend. Barbie did enough without my help. Instead, I always played revenge games with Skipper and Midge, where we’d carefully concoct plans to get rid of Barbie (like an unfortunate airplane deathfall from the dining room table).
Now older and much more accepting of my sisters who appear to have it all, I’d love a chance to have a Barbie. I would apologize on Midge and Skipper’s behalf for all those mean things we said about her.
The world is hard enough; we need to support our sisters. Even the plastic ones.
That’s not just a penguin, that’s a penguin with a duck bill, the great ubiquitous symbol for Linux. And a half-eaten container of Chinese food. Barbie is a computer engineer! Holy monkey balls.
My favorite is Masquerade Ball Barbie by Bob Mackie

My fav. was Peaches n cream Barbie. Man, I’ve been trying to hunt down this doll for my daughter… I first found Barbies pic looking for a Barbie with glasses (my daughter got glasses this summer). My husband is a computer programmer and she is a total daddy’s girl. This would be PERFECT.
Holiday Barbie, because from the year 1995-2000 my mom used to hunt it down for me, sometimes by flirting gratuitously with Toys R Us employees.
My niece would prob like this “tech” Barbie. It would well compliment the Barbie convertible mustang that I have already gotten her for Christmas. :) I have always loved the LT. UHURA and Captain KirkBarbie. The reason being of course is that Im a big Star Trek geek/fan. Hope to win. :)
My favorite Barbie was the My-Size Barbie. The one I had was always naked because I kept wearing its dress, haha. My friend had one as well but she was terrified of it because as a girl she swore it would stand by her bed at night and chew her toenails.
Yes, nothing proves that you’re not a software engineer like having a stuffed penguin by your desk.
It’s tux the linux penguin. for uber geeks who want to write their own code and hate giving money to bill gates and mac
Protip: Go to picture number three, bring up a binary translator* in another tab, and translate what’s on her screen. It’s the same on both sides of her screen. It’s not surprising, but sort of funny.

I wanted the poofy-haired, shoulder-padded, badly made-up Barbie of the ‘Barbie and the Rockers’ back in the ’80s. My mother wouldn’t let me have them because she found them too crass, which only made me want her MORE. Unrequited love.
I had many Barbies when I was little, but I loved the one that had a perm! It came with a pouch of chemicals that you could use to straighten her hair back out, but I never used it. I thought it was neat having a Barbie with hair different than all the others.
Personally a fan of Cam Girl Barbie. She’s like some weird toy David Cronenberg would come up with: http://techcrunch.com/2010/07/22/barbie-video-girl-woah/
When I was a kid I had a Barbie that said, “Math class is tough.” Know there was a lot of controversy at the time, but I agreed with her. Math class is tough, damn it!
Good thing Smithers was there to set you straight. Hi screensaver was weird though, right?
Whatever Barbie that has the permanent white floral panties.
Was there ever an official “Naked Barbie With All Her Hair Cut Off?” Because that’s the one I had, I think.
Well my fave is Michael Arrington Barbie — s/he hates herself just for being who s/he is. Also, s/he has strong opinions about everything, but they are negotiable when the site s/he created is about to be purchased or go public.
I agree with Starla. I like the Harley Davidson barbie. She was pretty but still looked like she could kick a$$. She took barbie out of bimbo.
