At some point in our lives, our parents stopped being a source of constant embarrassment (“Just drop me around the back of the school, thank, bye!”) and started becoming rife troves for quirky concept blogs. Thus, Sh*t My Dad Says went from a Twitter to Tumblr to a TV show. And now Urlesque has steered us towards “My Mom Reviews My Photos“, which has Tanner Almon turning her artistic Polaroids into fodder for her mom’s hysterical commentary. We can just imagine coming home with a bunch of crap we’ve written and telling mom “Review this, please. And make it as whimsical as possible, while still keeping with the theme that you are my mother and care about my well-being. Also, you do not know how to use the Internet, right?”
Still: Do you think it’s exploitative or bonding to use your (sometimes clueless) parents for your website’s concept?

Nice article, you refer to Tanner as a female, FYI Tanner is a boy.
