So in the latest in first world problems, I have a condition where I can’t sit still when I watch TV. I think it’s called ADD and/or a by-product of being raising in the digital generation. Either way I always have to have my laptop and phone right next to me on the couch so I’m able to do 2 or 3 things at once. The problem is that then I end up missing whatever I’m watching because I’m preoccupied with everything on my laptop screen.
What’s the solution? Knitting.
It occupies my hands and the part of my brain that craves stimulation, while also allowing me to actually focus on the TV. I picked up this skill last year and right now I’m working on the longest scarf ever because I don’t know how to end it.
Or I should say I didn’t know how to end it until I discovered Craftsy’s Knit Lab — an online tutorial that teaches beginners how to go from a ball of yarn to completed scarf for only $29.99. The class is taught by author and knitwear designer Stefanie Japel, who walks you through the whole process, from buying the right needles to actually finishing that mile-long scarf. And don’t worry if you didn’t catch on the first time — you can watch it again and again and again! (Also, don’t worry if you don’t end up liking knitting, there’s a 100% money-back guarantee.)
So what are you waiting for and why are you still reading this? There are scarves, hats, socks, sweaters and onesies to be knit! Follow this link to sign up for Craftsy’s Knit Lab right now.
