I find it astonishing that in the US dressing up as a American Indian isn’t considered offensive. I am from NZ and if anyone dressed up in a Maori costume for Halloween or similar they would be considered to be extremely offensive. I haven’t got anything against the people who are simply inspired by the traditional dress but those up openly taking the piss out of the original costume I find shocking.
