Teen acts as stand-in for dead mom, then thinks up a better plan: a futuristic house to stand in for a mom. Unfortunately, Momhouse doesn't like being used, and decides to keep the family indoors indefinably. Which is probably what my mom would have done if she was a house.
What ever happened to.... Ben and his cute kid sister? Katie Volding was last seen continuing to be cute and blond in the third Au Pair movie. Ryan Merriman went on to do two more Disney Channel flicks and can now be seen as a very bad man who may or may not be dead on Pretty Little Liars.
Poor motherless Sydney wants to surf, but her Dad won't let her, because her mom died surfing. Overall this seems like a way, way better rational then the normal variation on the theme (ex. you may not sing because your dad sang and then he left us). But she's on an island, and all the cool kids are surfing, and water sports just went bad for her mom that one time....
Whatever happened to....the adorable surfing protagonist? Camilla Belle became a professional model (big surprise) and has been seen in 10,000 BC, Push, and, unfortunately something called From Prada to Nada.
On his 13th birthday, Cody starts going through some changes no health class pamphlet is going to help him figure out. Sticky palms! Extreme thirst! Scales! Obviously this is a job for Dr. House, who will find the boy's been injecting himself with fish semen as a natural alternative to steroids. Oh, he's just a mermaid (merman?). The kids get all the simple explanations.
What Ever Happened to...that little merman? Chez Starbuck popped up in a handful of films, with no projects since 2003. But that girl waiting in line at the water fountain? She becomes a professional vampire enthusiast and champion blinker.
Brink! is about two teenage gangs. But instead of knife fighting they skate...to the death! Ok, not to the death, but one girl does get some pretty severe road burns from a skate battle.
Whatever happened to...the lead skater with a heart of gold? You probably caught Erik Von Detten jerking around poor Mia in The Princess Diaries and voicing Sid in Toy Story.Typecast as an ass, he has gone on to play a prep school rapist on Law and Order: SVU and a high school athlete who dies in a car crash after sleeping with another high schooler and giving her HIV in a Lifetime movie. I think he needs a new agent.
It's kind of like Bring it On, but everyone's intentions are pure. Well accept for the lead's boyfriend Chuy, but he comes around, and you can't blame him, it couldn't have been easy growing up with a name like Chuy. Also, after six years of Spanish, all I remember is "si se puede," and I can only shout it.
Whatever happened to.....the main character who isn't America Ferrer? So the co-star went on to Ugly Betty fame and the lead (Camille Guaty) went on to a recoring role on Las Vegas. Moral of the story: be nice to your co-star.

The first time I encounter this Freaky Friday with sisters I was digging through the bargain bin at Walmart and I had a tough time believing it had ever aired on the Disney channel, mainly due to two points:
1. The sisters talk about virginity
Yes it turns out they're both abstaining, but still, they say the word! What will the children think?
2. A teenage couple is seen in a hot tub
And Glee has taught us what can happen when two teenagers are in a a hot tub!
Whatever happened to..... the sister who's not Katherine Heigl? We all know where Dr. Izzie Stevens' career went, but Danielle Harris isn't having a bad run either, starring in a string of horror movies and providing the voice of Debbie for the animated Nickelodeon show The Wild Thornberries.

Ah, I forgot a Ring of Endless Light! Good movie and good book. Johnny Tsunami was a great one too.
These are the best! And Halloweentown! Only the BEST one – along with the Zenon movies, Johnny Tsunami, Pixel Perfect.. oh I could go on forever!
