Part of a Carnival Cruise line package, this will be the 2nd year in a row you can mingle with 80s stars NKOTB while you float around the Bahamas. "Rumor has it...(there will be) a butter sculpture of Jordan Knight in honor of his birthday," boasts one review.

One of the two cruises created by former Bachelor stars, this boat is hosted by Jesse Csincsak, season 4 winner of The Bachelorette. Though who exactly is coming is vague, since that page on the official site is empty.

Harry Potter cruise ship. Snape looks more sad than evil, but maybe that's because he realized he signed up for an $800 no-window cabin that's taking him to Haiti.
I know part of Twilight takes part in Alaksa, but even the most diehard fans must know that going on a boat with a dude who looks vaguely like Robert Pattinson so they can get stuck in some ice-barges for 10 days isn't the best use of their money.

Wow….they’ll give anyone with an internet connection a byline these days, eh? Listen Drew, you’re no more qualified to give an opinion on theme cruises than I am to share my feelings about scaling Mt. Everest. You’re clearly too lazy to research, because if you had, you’d have known that 500 of us had a fantastic time on the 2011 Alaska Twi-Cruise and the “tribute artists” were fun and enhanced the experience.
If you ever expect to be taken seriously as a writer, you’ll have to do better than electronically panhandling for vacation money as an excuse for sharing an uninformed opinion. Weak, Drew. Just weak.
Oh, so that’s it Drew… you can’t afford to go, so your just RUDE and PATHETIC! The Twilight Alaska Cruise was actually the best trip of my life. It was a huge party every night, and all day long. Not to mention the shore excursions were amazing. Obviously, you are just jealous of the have’s, since you are clearly a have-not. BTW.. Brandon Register-Watford, aka “Edward Cullen look alike…” is extremely talented. Not to mention HILARIOUS!!! It totally made the trip more exciting having him on board. You should probably consider NOT coming June 2012, because I would probably throw you overboard :-P
Alright Drew… Are you THAT dumb?!?! You’re actually asking people to pay you so you can go on vacation??? NO ONE who loves Twilight would ever want your sorry ass there… These people who commented may be too polite to tell you off, but I don’t care. How about you write about something you know, care about, and have actually experienced for a change?!?! You know, like a ‘credible’ writer?
WONDERFUL, MS. TRACEY…”DITTO,” AS TO WHAT YOU SAID FOR MS. DREW GRANT. HE IS NOT A PROFESSIONAL WRITER, OTHER THAN GETTING PAID FOR HIS OPINIONS…AS HIS “RESEARCH,” HAS NOT SHOWN FAVOR IN HIS WRITINGS…IF ANY…. IF IT WAS NOT FOR THE TWILIGHT CRUISE OF LAST YEAR, MS. LINDA’S TERRIFIC EFFORTS TO ACCOMIDATE EVERYONE, I WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN ABLE TO HAVE ALL OUR FAMILY TOGETHER IN ONE “SPOT,” NOT TO EVEN THINK OF THE WONDERFUL FANS THAT ALSO ADDED TO THE MEMORIES AND ENJOYMENTS OF THAT CRUISE. THANK YOU AND ALL THE OTHER “POSTINGS,” FOR ANNOUNCING TO MR. GRANT AND THE WORLD, THAT IT IS MORE THAN JUST A “THEME CRUISE.” SEE YOU, AND ALL THE “OTHERS,” IN ROME SOON.
Ouch Drew! Working hard all year round to spend a week on a beautiful cruiseship, being pampered by the crew, quality time with my daughter, amazing excursions, 7 days sailing to a part of the world we’ve never been.
And for a bonus I get to sail with actors who portray characters I love, spend my time with people who actually share my love for them, get entertained, and make lifelong friends with people from all over the world. It was a bonus worth every hard earned euro and for most part BECAUSE of the tribute cast.
The fact that I get to make the Twi Cruise for a second time- where before I thought it was a one in a lifetime experience- is for me a wonderful opportunity. One I know how to appreciate, and work hard for to pay. Now tell me Drew, why would you expect us hardworking folks to fund your “experiencing”? Isn’t that kind of like pearls to the swines?
I have heard nothing but wonderful things about these cruises and thier TRIBUTE ARTISTS. They are not your normal look alilkes. they are actors that remain in character, the whole time. Often the actual actors from the movie are aboard the ship as well. If i save enough money I will be attending the meditaranian cruie this summer. In order to have a valid opinion on this you need to do a little research and interview the people who actually went. Then you can form an opinion with a broader understanding. If you enjoy these movies you will love these cruises and your money will be well spent. End of story.
I went on the TwiCruise and had a wonderful time! I loved the Pattinson look-a-like he was funny and made that cruise!
It is exactly that…your opinion. And with the same consideration that I would give to the reviewer of a play who had not actually seen it, I will give the same to your opinion. You are uninformed because you have not been on a Twi Cruise…nor have I. But I am one who has chosen (in your words) to “throw away my money on” the 2011 Twi Cruise, and from informed attendee’s and their experiences, I expect to have spent my money on having quite alot of fun. With regards to your accepting donations, I feel THAT would be a waste of my money, as fun does not seem to be something that is super easy for you to comprehend. Don’t look forward to my contribution.
Again, if anyone feels like my opinion was uninformed, I am currently accepting donations to raise money for one of these cruises. I’ll even let you pick the cruise! And I accept Paypal, so it’s super easy.
My point simply is if you love these movies like so many do I am sure you will enjoy the cruise however if u hate the movies and their books you might not enjoy it to much bc you are closed off to it. I would suggest that if you do end up going. have an open mind and try to see it they way all the fans do. Interview alot of people on the ship. all ages and enjoy your time. I hope I can go at some point. I hope that when you do get a chance to go you will enjoy it too but u might need to see these movies first to truely enjoy it. :) ps these tribute artists are the best in the world. so great :) have a blessed night
I have to question…are you really a reporter or just someone that was pulled off of the street, put in front of a computer and someone said “Write”. Reporters research their subject which is something you obviously did not do. I can only speak for the Twilight Cruise and everything you said is so way off base and not even based on real experiences or actual cruisers. I was on the Alaska cruise and I can tell you that it was not all about the actors or the impersonators. It was about meeting amazing people and making lifetime friendships. It was an absolutely fun and enjoyable trip. The actors and The Immortals were the added bonus. In no way do I think that anyone who cruised to Alaska threw their money away and the upcoming cruise is a way for everyone to have a reunion and enjoy each other’s company. THAT is not throwing money away but creating memories. Memories are priceless and the 2011 cruise is exactly that to those who are going. Priceless. I highly suggest that you do your research before you even consider writing a piece of garbage article such as this.

I am sorry that you have no idea how to have fun, because that is what these events are fun. I personally attended the Alaska Twicruise and will again be sailing this June. The actors (all of them) and the fans had an amazing time. where else can you meet people who undertand and share your love for a story… I have made life long friendships attending the cruise to Alaska maybe you should have actually talked to someone who sailed before writing such an uninformed point of view.
All readers need someone to relate their stories to, look a likes help them to do just that. It is possible that some writers do not understand this. So remember authors and writers that without readers you would be poor.
Silly writer, the sorting hat sorts you into Hufflepuff if you deserve the house, not Harry. And Quidditch requires a great deal of skill, if Harry, the seeker, didn’t choose you then you obviously have none. Judging by your article above, sportsmanship or general nicety period is not something you aspire to. Perhaps you should do a follow up article on the look alikes and the people who love them. Just a thought.
You must be a terrible writer. They stick you on an assignment about pop-culture cruises, and you proceed to bash them. I hope you didn’t choose the topic, it would be even sadder. Seems to me that the last time you went on the HP cruise, Harry walked past you and you now hold a grudge. . . awesome.
He wouldn’t even let me be on team Hufflepuff!
