NBC has canceled Dick Wolf‘s century-old Law & Order series, which means that Jeremy Sisto will have to go back to being known as “that brother from Six Feet Under,” (or Elton from Clueless, if you prefer). But don’t worry, everyone’s favorite rapey spin-off SVU will keep going, though no word yet on Criminal Intent, which just hasn’t been the same since Jeff Goldblum came on, to tell you the truth. Law & Order: LA people. Not even joking. LOLA for short. But what’s going to happen to every out-of-work actor in New York whose only role on their resume besides “waitress” is “friend of Victim #3?” According to the New York Times, “By one estimate, more than 8,000 people in the city are employed, directly and indirectly, by the series and its two spinoffs.” That’s a lot of people who are finally going to have to move to LA to get a background role on TV.
