Here at Crushable, we like to ask (and answer) questions. So we created a questionnaire for us and for anyone else that will let us ask them a few questions. Erin did the first one yesterday, now I get to have a shot.
1. What’s your backstory?
Grew up in a NYC suburb then went to journalism school in Boston. I moved to New York to one day work as an editor for a magazine, but after almost five years of working for magazines and Web sites — and surviving a layoff — I like working on the Web. Oh, and did I mention I’ve been laid off?
2. Everyone has a “thing.” What’s yours?
Pink champagne and winking awkwardly in photos.
3. Everyone also has a karaoke song. Name yours (and don’t be shy).

4. Who are your biggest influences?
Barbara Walters, my grandmothers
5. What is it you most dislike?
People who lie, chewing tobacco

Snooki.
7. What was your best date?
It started at Blue Note Jazz Club and ended with pizza under the stars by a fountain with a guy playing a piano on wheels. Seriously, that happened.
8. What was your worst?
Pick one of the many that have ended with me in tears.
9. When I wake up in the middle of the night its because I’ve had a nightmare that ___ .

Monica on Friends with Liz Lemon’s eating habits.
17. What is your drug of choice?
Ambien, I just can’t sleep when I’m stressed without it — probably because I’m consuming too much of drugs #2 and #3: caffeine and sugar.
18. What’s the last thing you think about before falling asleep at night?
Something happy. I need to clear my head to relax and fall asleep, so I focus on the positive. When I can’t, it’s time for an Ambien.
