Until last week’s big reveal, Sandra Bullock had the best-kept secret in Hollywood: an adopted son named Louis! Now everyone’s talking about the tiny baby, and not about Jesse James anymore, really. And Sandra, who always puts her money where her mouth is, is bringing adoption into the forefront again. She’s not the first to do so, obviously, following adoptive star moms like Angelina Jolie, Mia Farrow and Rosie O’Donnell. Here are some cool stats on the subject:

Elizabeth Spiers searches for answers about her birth mother, and the tale is eye-opening and deeply moving. (TheGloss)
Since we were just talking about how Angelina Jolie adopted a fairly sick little Zahara when I posted about her fifth birthday the other day, it got me to thinking about the next adoption in the Jolie-Pitt family. Of course we have no way of knowing when it will happen, and they certainly had their hands full when Knox and Vivienne were born, but we do know that they’ve always said they intended to adopt again.
And just for fun,… More »
We all know that it’s coming eventually and a lot of media sources have already started speculating: The next Jolie-Pitt adoption. Both Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have said they aren’t finished with having kids yet and we know that adoption is still very important to them. They’ve also said in the past that they would like to have a physical balance as far as ethnicity is concerned – for example, they adopted Pax from Vietnam to… More »
All of my news alerts are currently flooded with rumors that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie plan to adopt another child “soon” – this time from India. There doesn’t seem to be any confirmed sources, so we’re still dealing with “a source said” gossip, but it’s not entirely unbelievable.
The alleged story is that Azharuddin Mohammed Ismail, one of the ten-year-old child stars of Slumdog Millionaire asked Angelina, after meeting her at the Oscars, why she hasn’t adopted from his… More »
Okay folks, back by popular demand, let’s start up another discussion thread. Several of you have asked for another one after we had a few really great discussion threads over the past few weeks, especially since we’re pretty much getting crickets chirping from the Jolie-Pitt homestead right now. Which is good, of course – it means Brad Pitt is getting whatever filming remains taken care of for Tree of Life and it means Angelina Jolie and the kids… More »
So Bill O’Reilley did indeed ask the question, “Is Angelina Jolie addicted to adopting children?” on his show last night. What is interesting though is that there were two psychologists who came on and said that yes she might be (and naturally they brought up her past, because of course no one has a past, no one has ever changed themselves), but Bill O’Reilley was the one who was defending Angelina, saying that it’s intrusive and we don’t… More »
Here’s some exciting news from TMZ.com – Pax Thien Jolie-Pitt has officially been adopted. Of course, Angelina Jolie adopted him last year, but it had to be made official in both countries. It was approved in Vietnam, where Pax was first born, but it still needed to be approved back in the U.S. Yesterday, they went to L.A. County Children’s Court in Monterey Park, California. A judge finalized everything and now it’s official.
Congratulations to the entire… More »

I can not thank reader Passerby enough for bringing my attention to this video. It’s a parody song written by VenetianPrincess called “Adopt Me Too”. She made an entire video out of her song and it’s absolutely hilarious. It’s a plea for Brad and Angelina to please adopt her too.
On top of being funny, her voice isn’t bad at all, the video editing is great quality, and it’s uncanny how much she actually resembles Angelina Jolie (she’s… More »
The rumors have been running wild across the Internet, and for good reason because several sources have cited that Angelina Jolie’s adoption of Zahara Jolie-Pitt was not entirely legal and that Zahara’s birth mother was still alive and wanted her back.
I am so disgusted by these so called sources. Today an article came out via Reuters, explaining that this is not true.
Angelina Jolie’s adoption of an Ethiopian baby was legal, the agency involved said on Thursday, rejecting… More »
According to People magazine, a court in Santa Monica officially approved Pax Thien’s legal name change to Pax Thien Jolie-Pitt.
After Angelina adopted Pax from Vietnam in March, she went to the courts in April to legally change her new son’s last name. Vietnamese law makes it ore difficult for an unmarried couple to adopt so Angie adopted him by herself but always intended for him to be raised with Brad as his father.
This was no surprise… More »
Angelina Jolie has said it before, the fact that she and Brad Pitt want to create a balance within her family, so I have no doubts that they will turn to Africa again in the future for another adoption, just like when Angie adopted Zahara. However, thanks to TMZ, it seems that while this could happen down the line, it’s not in the immediate future.
TMZ spoke to Jolie’s lawyer, Robert Offer, who told us that the rumor is definitely… More »
At this point, this is purely gossip because I’ve only seen one mention of it, but here’s the latest word: Angelina Jolie allegedly wants to adopt a little girl from Chad. Awhile back she mentioned that she wanted to have a “balance of face” in their family.
At the moment, Maddox and Pax make up two Asians in the family and Angie was quoted as saying, “Shiloh has Brad and me to look at” but that… More »
I hadn’t posted about this because at first the only places it was showing up was on random less-than-reputable sites, but I keep seeing it everywhere.
Allegedly Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have had to beef up the security around their home because of claims that a notorious gang had an elaborate and credible plan to kidnap Pax upon his arrival to the U.S., holding him for a large ransom, the equivalent of a year’s worth of drug trade… More »
Articles have been popping up everywhere overnight where Angelina Jolie explains why she has always said that she feels more for her adopted kids than for Shiloh – it’s apparently because they are survivors, whereas her biological daughter got to start life off privileged in a way that the others didn’t and never could have imagined. She said as a result, she is more inclined to lavish attention on Pax, Maddox, and Zahara.
According to OK! Magazine she said:

See? We were right. Tam Binh Orphanage’s director Nguyen Van Trung gave an interview with the Saigon Giai Phong newspaper. According to Mr. Trung:
the orphanage tried to find Sang’s (Pax’s) relatives through a newspaper ad, but there was no answer within 30 days. Sang thus was legally an orphan. Accordingly, it was the orphanage’s director who signed the agreement to give Sang to his foster parent, not any grandparent or parent of his.

All I’ve been seeing since I got online this morning is one article after another where people are saying Angelina Jolie could have some trouble from Pax’s birth mother. Allegedly his grandmother has come forth saying that her daughter, Pax’s mother, is a heroin addict and fond of money. Word is that since she was never consulted, she will be upset by the adoption. Also, they worry that when she learns her son was adopted by a… More »
Time Magazine has a great article up about Angelina Jolie and her latest adoption. There’s not a whole lot in there that’s news to us but it’s still a good read. They do have some background info on Pax’s life to date.
It mentions how Pax was only one month old when he was abandoned by his mother at a hospital in Ho Chi Minh City, leaving after his birth. For 30 days, the hospital put up… More »
Someone managed to get some video footage of Angelina Jolie picking up Pax at the orphanage as well as some interviews with the director. The video is translated into Portugese* but even if you don’t understand, it’s interesting to watch.
