On January 6, 2010 Katharine McPhee dropped by Live With Regis and Kelly to promote her new album “Unbroken”. After chatting it up with Regis and Kelly, Katharine hit the stage with “Had It All”.
I think she did such a great job and she sounded wonderful. I love watching Regis and Kelly (mostly for Kelly Ripa, one of my favorite people on television) but that being said I find that a lot of times people sound terrible when… More »
American Idol winner, Carrie Underwood, was on the Ellen show earlier this week where she talked about a variety of things including her relationship with hockey player, Mike Fisher, and her new album. She looked so pretty!!! It was amazing to listen to Ellen listing all of the awards that Carrie has won in the four short years since she won Idol. The talk show host talked to Carrie about her experience on the show to glean some… More »
Have you seen the video for Allison Iraheta’s single “Friday I’ll Be Over You” yet? Honestly, I wasn’t completely sold on the song when I first heard it but the music video actually won me over. Maybe it’s just that I’m still stuck in the 80s but I thought it was campy and cheesy and great at the same time. Here it is. Watch and tell me what you think! … More »
American Idol winner, Carrie Underwood, has released her newest album, Play On, and from what I’ve heard of it, I would predict that it’s going to make her fans happy and will probably attract some new ones. I really like “Cowboy Casanova” but I adore “Mama’s Song” and “Temporary Home.” I’m so excited for Carrie since it seems like she’s found yet another layer of her talent which almost seems impossible considering how amazing she already was. … More »
Last week, Adam Lambert revealed his new single “For Your Entertainment” from his upcoming album of the same title and I have listened to it several times over the weekend and I seriously cannot decide if I like it or not. On the one hand, it’s got a decent beat but then the actual melody isn’t working for me. I love Adam and I think that “Time For Miracles” from the 2012 soundtrack is great but I’m just… More »
Adam Lambert has revealed the cover art for his upcoming album For Your Entertainment which is slated for a November 2009 release date. It’s got a real 80s flair to it but I’m not sure that I like it too much. It’s okay, I guess, but I was expecting a little more.
What do you think? Do you like the album cover?

Last season’s teen queen, Allison Iraheta, came just shy of making it to the finals but her debut album is still right on track. She plans to release Just Like You on December 1, 2009 and the cover art has already been revealed. Allison tends to have pinkish hair so I can understand the color scheme – girly but with an edge. I will have to say, though, that with the colors and font, I… More »
If you’re interested, Billboard.com has a preview of “Temporary Home” which is a track from Carrie Underwood’s upcoming album Play On which will be released on November 3, 2009.
I have to say that, from what I’ve heard, I absolutely adore this song! She sounds so beautiful and I really like the vulnerability she shows when she’s singing in the upper register. I am really looking forward to hearing this whole alum…. More »
American Idol season 8 winner, Kris Allen , has revealed the cover art for his upcoming self-titled album and I’d love to know what you think of it. Honestly, I know a lot of people think Kris is hot so I don’t understand why this almost looks cartoonish. Why all the photoshop?
Anyway, I’m looking forward to hearing what the finished product sounds like. The album is expected to be released on November 17, 2009.

Have you had a chance to listen to Blake Lewis’ new album, Heartbreak on Vinyl? If you haven’t, you definitely need to check it out (it’s out today! Buy it on Amazon or iTunes!). It’s a lot closer to what you would expect from Blake than the music he released on Audio Day Dream and I really can’t say enough about how happy I am for him. I had the opportunity to chat with Blake this morning. Here’s… More »
A little while ago, I asked if any of you would be buying David Archuleta’s upcoming Christmas From the Heart album and every single one of you said yes! I’m not surprised, therefore, that it’s already at the top of the Amazon holiday charts! The album features some traditional songs, including what’s sure to be an incredible duet with Charice Pempengco, as well as the original song, “Melodies of Christmas” which David wrote with his father Jeff and two… More »
I’m sure you’ve heard by now that David Archuleta is releasing a holiday album called Christmas From the Heart on October 13, 2009 and I’m curious to know how many of you will buy it. I think that too many celebrities come out with Christmas albums and most of them have no business trying to sing those classics in the first place. I feel totally different about David. I love his voice and I… More »
Blake Lewis’ album Heartbreak on Vinyl comes out on October 6, 2009 but the second single (the title track) hit the internet a couple days ago. It’s definitely got an 80s sound mixed with a modern dance vibe and, while I love the American Idol Season 6 runner-up, I don’t particularly like this song and I am borderline obsessed with 80s music.
I don’t know what it is but it just doesn’t sound well mixed and I think the lyrics are… More »
Carrie Underwood’s upcoming album Play On comes out on November 3, 2009 but her first single “Cowboy Casanova” has hit the internet and I’d love to hear what you have to say about it. First of all, can I just say how pretty Carrie looks in the cover art? She’s beautiful and I love how understated she is with the cute little flower in her hair. Very nice! Do you like it? So I didn’t really… More »
Have you heard Jason Castro’s new single “Let’s Just Fall In Love”? I saw it on YouTube and thought it might be great to share! I think that the song is adorable and unusual and everything that you might expect from someone like Jason, who co-wrote the track. The song is from Jason’s debut album (is there a title yet? I haven’t found one but would love to know what it is if you already know!) which… More »
Brooke White’s album High Hopes and Heartbreak came out today and I have to say that I wasn’t sure what to expect. I really didn’t like the cover art (it barely looks like her!) but I was pleasantly surprised by the actual music. The album is titled accurately because there are tracks that sound so full of hope (“Phoenix”) while others seem borne of heartbreak (“Out of the Ashes”). It’s mellow and might remind you of the folksy… More »

Daughtry has been appearing on daytime talk shows to promote their new album Leave This Town. So far, I think they are doing a great job! They are definitely keeping busy before they embark on their 2009 Club Tour which kicks off on August 2, 2009 in Orlando, Florida (click here for more dates!). They were on the Today show earlier this week for the program’s Summer Concert Series where they sang their new single… More »
