Early word has it that Aliens in America will not be renewed for a Season 2. The CW Upfronts just happened, and the Aliens in America cast were not there.

Aliens in America – doomed?
Will Aliens in America be picked up for a Season 2 by The CW? The show is still in limbo. I personally love the show, but as with many shows on The CW, it does suffer from lower ratings. The network is simply newer, and it’s shows do struggle for ratings more than they would on one of the larger networks.

Aliens in America & Supernatural Update
According to tvweek, the CW has unveiled tentative post-strike plans for it’s shows. While it’s dramas, including "Supernatural", will go back to film the 5-6 episodes needed to wrap up the active season, half-hour sitcoms like "Aliens in America" will make do with what is already filmed for this season.

Writers Strike and Gilmore Girls Actors
The Writers Guild Association (WGA) strike has caused a lot of disruptions to the television, both in the short and long term. Aliens in America & Samantha Who? return dates
It’s been a long time since we’ve seen new episodes of many television programs, including the ones starring Scott Patterson (Aliens in America) and Melissa McCarthy (Samantha Who?) which I try to keep you up to date on.
Aliens in America returns to television with new episodes startin in February. However, it will be moving from Monday night to Sunday night. Aliens in America will now follow Everybody Hates Chris, while Gossip Girl takes the Monday slot.

It’s interesting to think of Gary as more of the ‘everyman’ than Luke, who was so much more ‘normal’ on Gilmore Girls. But I do agree that the flashbacks are a fun element in Aliens in America.
