Is Clay Aiken Gay?

I don’t really care but since the issue just won’t die, I wanted to know what you all think. There have been rumors brewing about American Idol season 2 runner-up, Clay Aiken, for years.
The New York Post claims an “insider” had the following to say:
“The war is between the batty members that are still clinging to their heterosexual fantasies of him and others that don’t harbor such illusions.”
The Official Fan Club has had to shut down the message… More »

Josh Gracin Sings in World Series Game 2

Josh Gracin Sings in World Series Game 2

Josh Gracin from American Idol Season 2 sang “God Bless America” for the 7th inning stretch of Game 2 of the 2006 World Series.

He looks MUCH different now. Looks like he’s put on a lot of weight. He was wearing a Detroit jersey and was introduced as one of Michigan’s own. I guess he grew up there because his American Idol bio said he’s from Oceanside, CA, but I believe that’s where the Marine base Camp Pendleton is located…. More »

Ruben Studdard’s 2nd Album Details “The Return”

Ruben Studdard's 2nd Album Details "The Return"

Ruben Studdard’s 2nd album “The Return” now has more details available.

Affable “American Idol” winner Ruben Studdard loads his sophomore disc, “The Return,” with smooth grooves and standard R&B tracks—but no standouts. For the most part, his vocal performances, often likened to late legend Luther Vandross, are flat and not as stunning as expected. Though his 2004 debut “Soulful” bowed atop The Billboard 200, it was mostly on the strength of his popularity on “Idol,” where he dazzled all with his… More »

Clay Aiken “Without You”

Clay Aiken "Without You"

I just heard this song on LAUNCHcast Radio on the Yahoo! Music Engine.

I liked it but I felt it was a little overproduced, but I feel that way about a lot of singers who are true vocalists. Sometimes their talent just gets buried in the instruments and production of it all.

I’m not sure I like Clay’s new look, but I may have to pick up this album anyway…. More »

Clay Aiken Appointed to Presidential Council?

Clay Aiken Appointed to Presidential Council?

Fellow b5 site, Snarky Gossip, has some scoop on Clay Aiken being selected by President George W Bush to participate in the Presidential Committee for People with Intellectual Disabilities.

Wendy questions Clay’s ability to fulfill the role with any real talent, knowledge or school saying that he “once worked as a YMCA counselor.” I was thinking he served in a little bit more of a prominent role than that in his past.

Can someone confirm this for me?… More »
