Idol: The Musical to Debut Off-Broadway

American Idol’s Ruben Studdard Planning 4th Album
American Idol season 2 winner, Ruben Studdard, has a fourth album in the works. The “Velvet Teddy Bear” has not forgotten how he got his break in the business:

The New York Post claims an “insider” had the following to say:

Kimberley Locke Donates the Clothes Off Her Back

Josh Gracin Sings in World Series Game 2
Josh Gracin from American Idol Season 2 sang “God Bless America” for the 7th inning stretch of Game 2 of the 2006 World Series.

I just heard this song on LAUNCHcast Radio on the Yahoo! Music Engine.
I liked it but I felt it was a little overproduced, but I feel that way about a lot of singers who are true vocalists. Sometimes their talent just gets buried in the instruments and production of it all.
I’m not sure I like Clay’s new look, but I may have to pick up this album anyway…. More »
Clay Aiken Appointed to Presidential Council?
Fellow b5 site, Snarky Gossip, has some scoop on Clay Aiken being selected by President George W Bush to participate in the Presidential Committee for People with Intellectual Disabilities.
Wendy questions Clay’s ability to fulfill the role with any real talent, knowledge or school saying that he “once worked as a YMCA counselor.” I was thinking he served in a little bit more of a prominent role than that in his past.
