Jennifer Hudson to Tour With Robin Thicke
Jennifer Hudson’s return to the spotlight is definitely right on track. It’s been announced that the award-winning former American Idol finalist will be embarking on her first solo tour on April 2, 2009. She will be touring for five weeks alongside R&B singer, Robin Thicke. It must have been a bittersweet night for Jennifer Hudson who can now put her Grammy Award next to her Oscar (for her role in Dreamgirls). Fantasia Sparkles on Grammy Red Carpet
American Idol season 3 winner, Fantasia Barrino, sparkled in a gorgeous black dress on the red carpet at the 2009 Grammy Awards (I don’t know about those shoes, though). When she stopped to speak to Idol host, Ryan Seacrest, he actually asked her if the rumors about Simon Cowell paying off her defaulted mortgage were true. Jennifer Hudson blew me away last night. Not only did she look absolutely stunning, she gave an emotional performance that left me crying on my couch. She is so brave. Fantasia Barrino can breathe a sigh of relief and celebrate since it looks like her home will not be auctioned. A lawyer for a lending company claims the matter over her million-dollar home has been resolved after the two parties came to an agreement. American Idol’s season 3 winner, Fantasia Barrino, and contestant, Jennifer Hudson, have joined forces by making a duet, soon to be released on JHud’s self entitled debut album, which hits stores on the 30th of September. The song, “I’m His Only Woman” should be performed on the upcoming season of Idol.
Other listed tracks on the diva’s album are “Pocketbook” featuring Ludacris, ”What’s Wrong” featuring T-Pain and “I am Telling You”, off the “Dreamgirls Soundtrack.”
