Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s Kids Can’t Google Them

Today on Sunday Morning Brad Pitt discussed his family, letting the world know the often used tabloid headline is true, the Jolie-Pitt gang does want to see their mom and dad walk down the aisle. Brad explained they’ve told him to, “get mommy a ring,” and he’s agreed there will be a ring in mommy’s future.

Considering how often this news has been reported or at least speculated about, and how universal kids’ desire to see their parents legally wed is, the kids pestering Brad to make their mom an honest woman won’t be groundbreaking until they organize a flash mob to “Put a Ring On It” the next time dad takes them to Target. The interesting familial tidbit Brad dropped at the interview is the fact there’s a block keeping the kids from Googling their parents’ names on their computers.

It’s certainly a good idea to try to keep some things lurking on the net from your kids, especially if they could seriously hurt them (for example vicious gossip about their parents). At the same time with their parents’ faces and issues plastered on new stands and TV shows it’s hard to imagine any Jolie-Pitt will be able to totally avoid rumors about their parents for their entire childhoods. If they do manage to break through the Google barrier and find something emotionally damaging, I guess Brad and Angelina can always cheer them up with a wedding.

There are many people in Hollywood with whom you don’t want to fuck. Harvey Weinstein is definitely one of them because with one word from him and “you’ll never work in this town again.” Another would be Angelina Jolie; we’ve all seen what happened to Jennifer Aniston for getting in that woman’s way, or rather what hasn’t happened to Aniston as she tries to keep her career afloat. And yet another one on that list of people you just don’t even want to try to piss off is Suri Cruise. You fuck with Suri, you fuck with you and you don’t want to fuck with you. However, Katherine Heigl and her husband Josh Kelley didn’t get that memo.

Unbeknown to Naleigh’s parents, Hollywood only has enough room for so many kids of celebrities. As Suri has made clear time and time again in her Burn Book, it is she who sits at the top of that fanciful tier. Yes, she begrudgingly occasionally has to share it with all those Jolie-Pitt rugrats, but besides them it’s Suri’s world and we’re all just spectators vying for such an existence.

However recent events have shaken things up in the land of celebrity kiddos. This past Tuesday Naleigh appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live with her mom Heigl, where she was introduced as being “hammy.” Despite this adjective, the three-year-old didn’t seem to live up to her mom’s claims and even snubbed Kimmel, refusing to say hello. Wow. Little Heigl has some ego on her (not surprisingly.)

Her mother went on to say some pretty distressing stuff that when it reaches Suri’s ears there will be hell to pay: ”She loves a crowd that loves her. She’ll be shy right now, but she loves applause.” Her?! The crowd loves her? Suri would not and does not approve.

To add insult to this already gaping and bloody injury, today it was announced that Kelley’s new music project (who does this guy think he is anyway?) is entitled “Naleigh Moon” and features personal footage of Naleigh’s three years of life.

Two important things to note: Suri has never been on a talk show and Suri does not have a song with her name in the title, let alone one that’s entirely about her and includes a video montage of her photos. Again, Suri would not and does not approve.

Although there is some relief this week for Suri since My1stYears.com just voted her “Hollywood’s Best Dressed Tot,” that still doesn’t change the fact that for a few brief moments all eyes were set on Naleigh. Nor does it change the fact that there’s a video entirely dedicated to Naleigh that will be played by god knows how many people and/or how many times.

What this all means is that somewhere Suri is under her bed in heels and a Prada dress ferociously scribbling away in her Burn Book condemning Heigl as we speak. She’s plotting her revenge as well as trying to figure out how she’ll wear her hair tomorrow. No Hollywood tot should appear on a talk show before Suri; no one. Not even a Jolie-Pitt.

Angelina Jolie And Brad Pitt See You Watching Them At The White House

So Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie recently visited the Obamas at the White House—ostensibly to discuss Angie’s directorial debut with In the Land of Blood and Honey. But considering the couple’s humanitarian work, it’s difficult to tell (as BuzzFeed pointed out) which duo was more starstruck.

There are quite a few stalkeresque photos snapped of the event. Probably not from the White House lawn, since the President has security to handle that kind of thing. But then how did you get these two great photos? On separate occasions, Brad and Angie each seemed to notice the paparazzi lurking outside and acknowledged them with a long-suffering smile from her and a steely glare from him. We sort of figured it’d be the opposite reactions. Then again, they could just be smiling/glaring pleasantly at whoever their conversation partners were and just staring past their heads because they don’t like eye contact. Who knows.

Actually, we’re surprised that the official White House Flickr account didn’t document the occasion.

It’s pretty clear that the woman on the left is Angelina Jolie, but how about the one on the right? Angelina again, you would be sure—but if you look closely you’ll spy one or two details that makes you realize this is an entirely different person who just really resembles the In the Land of Blood and Honey director.

Her name is Lina Sands, and she’s an actress who wants to make a living as an Angelina impersonator. The video below has actually been making the rounds since 2010, but this is the first we’ve seen of it. Obviously there are a few details that differentiate the two; Lina’s eyes seem closer together and while she has the same striking eyes and big lips, there’s still something in her expression that doesn’t scream “Hollywood actress, humanitarian, and mother to Brad Pitt‘s kids.”

But in photos? She’s a dead ringer. Also, I just realized that her name is the second half of Angelina’s name; I wonder if it’s a stage name? If your eyes aren’t yet bugging out of your head, here’s the video to obsess over:

Only 7% of Hollywood directors are women, and with her first feature In the Land of Blood and Honey, Angelina Jolie has joined their ranks. Marie Claire used this lady director conceit in a new spread — posed in her pajamas on a mock film set, Angelina makes goofy, sexy faces and crouches seductively.

The reason this spread bothers me so much is that it takes something that’s already nearly impossible to achieve, and like so many other things, buts a mandate of attractiveness on it. Look at our high-profile female directors: in addition to Angelina, there’s Kathryn Bigelow and Sofia Coppola, both considered sex symbols. But at least when we see Kathryn posed next to a camera, she’s wearing sensible clothing and making a serious, normal face.

Sofia Coppola has been in perfume ads – so where’s our sexy Quentin Tarantino cologne billboard? And why aren’t there any spreads of Peter Jackson posing barefoot in pajamas on a sparse film set? If Angelina Jolie is the new poster child for female directors, then we can bet that statistic won’t be improving anytime soon.

Angelina Jolie Is Starving Herself In Solidarity With Impoverished Children

While her husband enjoys the occasional cheeseburger, it’s clear that that particular food has been absent from Angelina Jolie‘s life for some time, along with many others. Tabloids have been proclaiming her “too thin!” and speculating about eating disorders for a while now, but today someone came up with a new reason Angie has been abstaining from food: to get in touch with the world’s starving children.

No, really. According to one of Us Weekly’s “sources,” the U.N. Goodwill ambassador “puts herself on fasts to make statements for the children she visits”:

She says, ‘If they can’t eat, I can’t eat,’” the source adds. The busy mother of six “does different cleanses from around the world. It’s very dramatic, but that’s how she gets.”

Okay, first of all, “cleanses” are different from simply starving yourself, or at least they’re believed to be by the gullible new agers who practice them. (The regular dieters who practice them are not so deluded.) And while it’s important to bring attention to world hunger, it seems a bit ironic to me that her voluntary hunger strikes in solidarity with the least privileged people in the world just happen to result in the type of body Hollywood (and American culture) privileges most. It’s not Angelina’s fault that this is the way our society is set up, but still…ugh.

And then there’s the fact that starving yourself does not actually help the children. Writing a check for a million dollars helps the children. Donating several metric tons of nutritious food helps the children. Starving yourself once to see what hunger feels like is fine. Starving yourself constantly is just showboating.

Brad Pitt And Jennifer Aniston Almost Meet Up In A Movie Theater — Crisis Averted

It’s always awkward when you bump into your ex unexpectedly, and even more awkward when you’re both with someone new. I can only imagine the level of discomfort when you meet up with an ex, his girlfriend and four of his children. Luckily Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt didn’t have to experience that uncomfortable moment, because they only almost bumped into each other at a movie theater this weekend.

It seems Brad was talking Angelina Jolie and the kids to see Hugo this Friday night and left just before Jennifer showed up with her bf Justin Theroux. Without an actual collision and the shake-down that surely would have ensued, we’re just left with the opening scene for some Jen-Brad fan fiction. Would Brad have punched Justin in the face screaming, “the first rule of fight club is you do not talk about fight club?” Would the baby hungry Jennifer have grabbed Shiloh and run off yelling, “I got one!,” or serenely start braiding her hair?

Of course it’s also possible they would have said a quiet hello as they passed, or even go the more common awkward ex route and ignore each other completely. Which is why we should be glad the meeting will always stay in the world of what might have been, where things are much more interesting.
