Jacket

This fabulous Soia & Kyo jacket is chic, timeless and oh so New York. The best part? It’s on sale at Bluefly for $172.00.

Scarf

Any classy black scarf will do for this. Make sure the color is sharp and not faded. I choose this long cotton scarf from Boutique to You because it’s $28.00.

Boots

Rain boots are awesome in the winter, they make trmaping around in slush and snow worry-free! If yours aren’t line, make sure you wear nice thick socks. This pair, which looks just like Ashley’s, can be yours from Target for only $24.99.

Sunglasses

Any oversized Ray-Ban knock-offs will do for this look, as long as the color is right. I chose this ’80s style pair from Free People because they are only $24.99.

Bag

As for the bag, go for something large, simple and sleek, like this Pardu bag from Aldo. It’s normally $50.00, but currently on sale for $39.98.

Ashley Olsen has a footwear collection almost any girl would die to have. So much so that the National Examiner named her the sixth best heeled gal of 2008.

Mary-Kate didn’t make the list because of she’s less discriminating about what goes on her feet and has been seen in flip-flops in downtown Los Angeles more than once.

The Examiner took in account choice of brand, overall look and appropriateness of the footwear choice for each occasion when compiling their list.

Rounding out the top ten were Jessica Alba, Keira Knightley, Sienna Miller and Katie Holmes.

The top five ladies were Heidi Klum, the ladies of Sex and the City, Gwyenth Paltrow and Rihanna.

And the number one pick for 2008? Kelly Ripa.

An interesting choice, I think. I like Kelly and think her style is chic and fashion-forward while being age-appropriate! Kudos to Kelly!

This week, MK wore a red leopard print Louis Vuitton scarf to a screening of The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.

Last year, Ashley wore the same scarf to a party celebrating Christian Louboutin.

Both the girls took very different takes on the look. Both are casual, but MK went for an all-black ensemble, making the scarf the center of the look. Ashley opted for more color and paired the scarf with the attention-grabbing Christian Louboutin boots. I think both outfits are pretty great. What about you?

Luckily, head modelizer, a member of The Fashion Spot, was lucky enough to see the collection. Here’s what she wrote:

On Monday I went to view the Row in NYC (they are doing appts for Fall) and Ashley was there. She led me through some of the collection (she is very knowledgeable on materials, construction, etc). Style-wise she didn’t look the best i’ve seen her; unwashed hair, grey knit top, jeans, those black knee-high boots she always wears, and a blue scarf from the Row. Her friend was there (forgot her name; that girl with the dark hair who was always in photos with them when they were at NYU) and looked much cuter in a sheer t-shirt from the row w/ a black wool bustier layered over the top (also the row).

I was only there for 15 mins so I don’t have much gossip (and no pics, sadly they wouldn’t let me take out my camera even to shoot the clothes for our files). The only detail that made her seem like sort of a brat was when their PR director was explaining something to me and Ashley needed to get her attn for something so she kept shouting her name repeatedly, like a 4 year old would do. But other than that she was perfectly nice.

Anyway just thought I’d share as it was the first time I met her so somewhat exciting

Here is what she said to the Chicago Sun-Times:

I’ve always loved the way Ashley Olsen dresses. I love the Olsen twin style. They really will try everything. These girls don’t follow a trend. They set their own trends. Anyone can open a magazine and dress the way they tell you to dress. It takes time to create your own style and the Olsens are brave and take risks. I take risks, too, wearing my clothes on the show. I’ve worn the entire line.

I love the Hills, but I think Lauren’s style doesn’t compare to MK and Ash’s! What do you think?
