Amazing Tumblr Watch The Cradle Combines Kanye West And Jay-Z Lyrics With Babies

Babies make everything better, don’t they? I haven’t particularly been looking forward to Jay-Z and Kanye West‘s collaboration album/tour Watch the Throne, but thanks to the new Tumblr Watch the Cradle, I now know plenty of their lyrics.

Watch the Cradle has only a few pages of content so far, but the submissions are hilarious—mostly because the photos really don’t need any tinkering to match the lyrics.

You have to wonder where the posters found these photos: On stock collections like Shutterstock, from personal family albums, or even surreptitiously lifted from overbearing friends’ Facebook albums? We may never know, but we’ll be giggling like a carefree two-year-old over the rest of these.

After many years of working to transition their image from “the cute twins from Full House” to “savvy fashion entrepreneurs,” Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen have finally obtained the fashion world’s holy grail: a Vogue cover. This is especially impressive considering what other famous pairs are featured in this, the “siblings” issue: Dakota and Elle Fanning, Kate and Pippa Middleton, Beyonce and Solange Knowles…oh, the glamor.

This is also Vogue‘s “Best Dressed” issue, so I guess they should be doubly psyched to be on the cover of it. In fact, I’m so happy for them I’m not even going to ask why they let the stylist go the clichéed “lace over face” route for their cover shot. (Please come up with more ideas, stylists.)

You know what they say, “You never really know what people think about you until they’ve dressed as you for Halloween.” They say that right? I say that. Someone dress as me this year, and wear a t-shirt with that adage emblazoned on it.

It turns out lots of people like to dress as the Olsen Twins on All Hallow’s Eve. Mostly that means blonde wigs and giant Starbucks cups (elicit substances inside?). Check out some of our favorite Mary-Kate and Ashley costumes.

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are actually 24 years old, though from looking at them you might assume they’re a pair of twins in their 80s. They’re like a couple of wealthy Upper East Side eccentrics who stroll about in the afternoon with their bejeweled Affenpinscher puppies named Rotunda and Princess Penelope, stopping to have tea with members of the Bouvier family on Persian rugs on the steps of the Met. Old, old, old!
