Australia’s Next Top Model and Vogue’s Relationship Over
Australia’s Sunday Mail is reporting that Vogue Australia will no longer be providing the editorial spread for the winner of Australia’s Next Top Model. Harper’s and Cosmopolitan have stepped in to replace the leading fashion magazine.
The paper reports this relationship soured when Cycle 4 winner Demelza Reveley was refused a cover, unlike Cycle 3 winner Alice Burdeu Vogue editor Kirstie Clements was not pleased when Demelza was crowned the winner. She also was not overly receptive to Demelza’s spread.

New Zealand Next Top Model Hosts and Judges Announced

Model and celebrity manager Sara Tetro will act as host and former model Chris Sisarich and model/actor Colin Mathura-Jeffree as judges.

Sarah Murdoch at Australia Premiere
Sarah Murdoch, the new host of Australia’s Next Top Model attended the Australian premiere of the epic blockbuster film Australia, starring Hugh Jackman and Nicole Kidman on November 18. Directed by Baz Luhrmann, the film takes place the bombing of Darwin in Australia during World War II.
Sarah has some big plans for AusNTM, including opening up the competition to plus-sized models. The fifth cycle is set to air in early summer 2009.

Alice Burdeu to get Third Vogue Australia Cover
Alice Burdeu, the winner of the third cycle of Australia’s Next Top Model will grace the cover of Vogue Australia for a third time next year, Australia’s Herald Sun reports. She’s currently back in Australia to do a few photo shoots before heading back to London for more work.

Demelza Reveley Runs for Charity
Demelza Reveley, winner of the fourth cycle of Australia’s Next Top Model attended the ‘Foxtel Lap’ on November 14 in Sydney. The event is designed to raise money and awareness for the the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute.
The Murdoch Research Institute was established by the husband of the new AusNTM host Sarah Murdoch. Sarah is an ambassador for the charity and sits on its board.

Charlotte Dawson’s Boyfriend Arrested for Fraud
Popular Australia’s Next Top Model judge Charlotte Dawson was in for a shock. Her boyfriend, businessman Matthew Rhodin was arrested for allegedly committing bank fraud for over $7 million, Adelaide Now reports.

Sarah Murdoch, who was recently named the new host of Australia’s Next Top Model has made it clear she wants the show to take a stand against issues facing models and the fashion industry today. Sarah Murdoch Named Host of Australia’s Next Top Model
Former model Sarah Murdoch was named the newest host of Australia’s Next Top Model.
In addition to her hosting duties, Sarah will serve as executive producer of the show, and will produce documentaries for Fox8 under her production company, Room 329.

It’s Official: Jodhi Meares Quits AusNTM
This isn’t a surprise, but it was officially announced today that Jodhi Meares, who has hosted the past two cycles of Australia’s Next Top Model, has left the show, News.com.au has learned.

Foxtel boss Brian Walsh praised Jodhi for her “earthiness” and “invaluable contribution” which he credits with making the show a success. He also says that the Foxtel/Jodhi relationship remains strong and they’ve agreed to explore television projects together in the future.

Demelza Reveley, the winner of Cycle 4 of Australia’s Next Top Model recently landed a major international campaign for chocolate company Ferrero Rocher, according to Perth Now.

Demelza will star in a French television commercial for the company, as well as shoot print ads.

Australia’s Next Top Model Cycle 3 winner is ripping up the New York runways this Spring/Summer cycle. It’s only her second season and she’s easily become one of the most successful NTMers ever, right up there with Russia’ Ksenia. And why not? The girl is gorgeous!

Jodhi Meares Brother Charged With Police Assault
It’s been a rough few months for Australia’s Next Top Model host Jodhi Meares. First, she gets hit with tons of negative media for skipping out on the AusNTM finale and now her brother has been arrested for assaulting a police officer.
According to Adelaide Now, Jason Meares assaulted a police officer early in the morning of August 11 outside Kings Cross strip club Bada Bing. He was charged with one count of assault.

Fashion Targets Breast Cancer happened on August 12, but I just came across these photos today! Demelza Reveley looks gorgeous as she struts the catwalk in a design from Australia’s Next Top Model judge Alex Perry. Demelza Reveley Sent to Hospital
Only a week before she was set to take her winning trip to New York City to meet with agencies there, Australia’s Next Top Model 2008 winner Demelza Reveley fell severely ill and had to be admitted to the hospital.

Alice Burdeu Chats About D&G Photo Shoot
Alice Burdeu is starring in the Fall 2008 campaign for Dolce & Gabbana–a great honor for someone who has only been modeling internationally for a year. The shoot took place in the English countryside, and the line evokes a lot of Scottish inspirations–there’s tons of plaid!

Demelza Reveley’s Day at Work
Last week Demelza Reveley shot her Vogue spread that came as part of her prize pack for winning Australia’s Next Top Model.
The concept for the shoot was cocktail dresses and they did the shoot in an abandoned Point Piper house, according to the Illawarra Mercury.

Australia Vogue editor Kirsite Clements has clearly not been impressed with Australia’s Next Top Model Cycle 4 winner Demelza Reveley since the very beginning.
She spoke out openly against Demelza’s bullying in the house, immediately denied Demelza the cover of Vogue and now, the editor is brushing off Demelza’s editorial spread which appears in the next issue.
