Yahoo! News tells us that Brad and Angelina have been talking about the name of their child with Penehupifo Pohambo, the first lady of Namibia, as she visited them at the Burning Shores resort.
The Sun quoted Mrs Pohambo as saying: “We’d be honoured if she gave her child a Namibian name.”
Angelina, who has talked of creating a “rainbow family”, named her adopted children Maddox – meaning son of the lord – and Zahara – meaning shining or luminous.

With the birth of Brad and Angelina’s baby coming up in the near future, and so much talk lately of how dangerous life can be while being obsessively hounded by press and fans alike, I would like to start a prayer/blessings chain to surround Brad and Angelina and their family with all of our love and our wishes of health and happiness.
I will start it out.
I am Christina, from College Station, TX, and I am reaching out to send my… More »
Not. At least that is what I think. Ye ol National Ledger claims that “Brad Pitt has made a tearful vow to friends and family that he, Angelina Jolie and his children will be coming home to the US soon. ”
What that has to do with this, I am not sure, but the rest of the article goes on to say:
Star Magazine files the report that claims a source close to the Pitt camp claims Brad has shot… More »
Both Brad and Angelina made the issue (duh!), but Angelina graces the cover this year. Can I find a pic of the cover for you to see this morning? Of course not. But I will. If you find it, kindly send me a link, or the pic. :) (update – thanks Laura for pointing the way to JustJared for the pic ;))
Also, People has the Namibia pictures here if you want to see them again (or… More »
Well, I was hoping to top off all of todays news with some pictures from the photo shoot in Namibia that came out in Hello Magazine, but unfortunately, the publishers aren’t so thrilled about us showing them, so I will not be able to post them just yet. Maybe after a bit when the magazine isn’t so new. So do go buy it and check them out – if you missed them online earlier today, they are shots… More »
I thought I had already posted this, but can’t find it, so pardon if it is a repeated link! This article, from Yahoo! News is mostly the same story we have heard about how the paparazzi are having quite the struggle in Namibia, but it goes on to add this bit of unconfirmed news:
South Africa’s Sunday Times reported that Jolie had sold exclusive rights of the first pictures of the baby to U.S. celebrity magazine People, which would in… More »
The flys are a’ swarming (thanks Catherine for the info!!!) – from
African News Dimension:
Police officers descended on the beach resort yesterday to flush out foreign photographers who are not in possession of the necessary work permits.
They went to at least two houses in a complex adjacent to the Burning Shore lodge where the celebrity couple are staying, searching for photographers or photographic equipment.
When asked by The Namibian about the actions of the Police, regional Police Commissioner Andrew Iyambo… More »
This photo was taken in Paris, apparently a day or two before they left for Africa:
Just Jared also has a reprint of this article from US magazine:
To guarantee that Jolie and her baby receive top-notch care, the actress, say a source, has already arranged for her obstetrician from New York City Hospital to join her in Africa once her due date nears. (For now, according to the source, an NYC internist is by her side.)

Lainey’s has a great article from yesterday that is chock full of good stuff!
Apparently Angelina is very concerned about the lifestyle they are forced to lead since she has hooked up with the sexiest man alive – and its possible affect on the children. And then check this out:
Rumours is, she alluded to it during a brief conversation with a civilian the other day who happened to be granted access for service reasons at the resort. The discussion allegedly… More »
I think perhaps they did!
This from Yahoo News in an article about Brad and Angelina’s arrival and security in Namibia:
Jolie and “five persons, among them two children” arrived on a chartered plane in Walvis Bay, which is about 400 kilometres (250 miles) west of Windhoek, the Namibian Broadcasting Corporation (NBC) reported, quoting immigration officials.
The star of “Tomb Raider” and her boyfriend Pitt with whom she co-starred in “Mr. et Mrs. Smith” were taken to a beachfront lodge along the scenic… More »
Let’s try a little something new around here!
Bamz9love has made a suggestion that we have a weekly “wildcard” topic to chat about while the news coming from Namibia is so dreadfully slim. If you will leave a suggestion here in the comments for a topic, I will pick one or two of them, and make some seperate posts about them later on today, and you can chat/discuss/debate them to your hearts content.
Sound good?

From the TittleTattle:
At the Namibian coast security is reportedly tight and secrecy surrounded the lodge yesterday where the couple, their two adopted children, Maddox and Zahara, and entourage are staying.
According to a published report, two Namibian journalists sitting on the beach near the lodge yesterday morning were approached by Ange’s personal bodyguard.
The stocky, grey-haired muscleman politely requested that the two female reporters leave the scene.
Introducing himself as Micky, he stated emphatically that no photographs were allowed of the couple, as… More »
Thanks again to bamz9love for pointing me towards these pics that claim to be of Brad and Angelina’s things being moved out of their Paris apartment.
Related, is this article from Namibian.com (found via bamz9love, via BradForums.com – I hope I didn’t miss anyone ;) ). I have been trying to pull this article up from Namibian since this morning, but I suspect all of the Brangelina fans have overwhelmed their website, so here is the article in… More »
Contact Music is reporting of Brads misery and “squalid” living conditions:
Hollywood star Brad Pitt is miserable, and his relationship with Angelina Jolie strained, since moving into a squalid 1970s tower block in Paris, neighbours claim. The SE7EN actor, who previously resided in a $25.5 million (GBP15 million) California mansion with ex-wife Jennifer Aniston is reportedly living in a deprived area of the French capital with Jolie and their two adopted children Maddox and Zahara Marley. Paris cafe worker Ahmed Shrir,… More »
As I suspected, Brad and family are not back home. He was back in the airport in southern France taking more flying lessons yesterday. Ramie has pictures, but I haven’t found them yet in non microscopic sizes, so when they come out, I will update! For now, here is an oldie but goodie, cause this page has gotten downright ugly again!

The Star is comparing Brad and Angelina’s Paris flat to their home in Malibu. They are getting a thrill out of the downtown, smelly, dirty, smoggy apartment compared to the gorgeous site in Malibu. But they also say this:
The 1,300-square-foot apartment has four bedrooms, a Jacuzzi, wide-screen televisions and a retractable glass ceiling.
How bad could it be?… More »
After a much needed long weekend, I am back, and have a few goodies from the last few days. Brad and the rest of the family have gone back to Berlin for a couple of days, here they were still in France, going to the airport:
Look at little Maddox’s boots – he loves those things!!
