I’m referring to Oliver Trask (Taylor Handley), the seemingly nice guy Marissa (Mischa Barton) meets outside her therapist’s door.

Of course, it doesn’t take the audience long to figure out that Oliver wants Marissa all to himself, that he “made up” his girlfriend Natalie, and plans to get rid of Ryan (Benjamin McKenzie) any which way he can.

Oh, sometimes I want to throw a brick at the TV when I watch these episodes! It kills me how protective Marissa is of her so-called innocent friend, while practically forgetting about her super-hot boyfriend who wears white wife beaters.

What was your opinion of the whole Oliver fiasco? Did you want to kill Oliver too or were you rooting for him to win Marissa? Did you think Ryan went too far by breaking in to steal Oliver’s student records and taking the letter from Marissa’s locker.

Would you read the letter if it fell in your hands? If you don’t remember, Oliver gave a “love letter” to Marissa to read, but he told her it was to Natalie. But really he meant it for Marissa in his own demented way. Ryan contemplated reading the letter before actually doing it. Would you?

• 3.8 – “The Game Plan” - As seniors at Harbor and Newport prepare their college applications, the friends decide what to do about their futures.
• 3.9 – “The Disconnect” – Ryan works an internship for Sandy, and Summer and Seth try to impress Brown University.
• 3.10 – “The Chrismukkah Bar Mitz-vahkkah” – Kirsten tries to make amends with Julie, and Seth invents another holiday.
• 3.11 “The Safe Harbor” – The friends try to get Marissa back into their school. Sandy makes a decision that could change Marissa’s fate.
• 3.12 “The Sister Act” – Marissa’s sister, Kaitlin, returns home with attitude and a few secrets.
• 3.13 “The Pot Stirrer” – Kaitlin stirs up trouble for the gang as she prepares to celebrate her birthday.
• 3.14 “The Cliffhanger” - Summer discovers the truth about Seth; Kirsten and Julie take their matchmaking business too far.
• 3.15 “The Heavy Lifting” – Tragedy strikes the friends. Johnny’s cousin arrives. Ryan questions his and Marissa’s relationship.
• 3.16 “The Road Warrior” – Sadie and Ryan go on a road trip to find one of Johnny’s relatives and Ryan returns to his old ways.
• 3.17 “The Journey” - Ryan struggles to decide whom to invite to his birthday party. Julie and Dr. Roberts come clean with Summer and Marissa.
• 3.18 – “The Undertow” – Ryan’s nemesis returns to Newport. Taylor tries to solve Seth and Summer’s problem.
• 3.19 – “The Secrets and Lies” – Ryan tries to move on with Sadie, but Seth’s concern for Marissa gets in the way.
• 3.20 – “The Day After Tomorrow” – The kids receive their college acceptance and rejection letters, forcing them to make decisions.
• 3.21 – “The Dawn Patrol” – Ryan visits his mom. Taylor and Summer wonder why Seth is keeping secrets.
• 3.22 – “The College Try” – The friends go to their college orientations. Seth sees Anna at Brown, and they instantly connect.
• 3.23 “The Party Favor” — The senior prom brings out the best and the worst in everyone.
• 3.24 “The Man of the Year” – Ryan makes a deal with Volchok, and Marissa visits Kaitlin at boarding school.
• 3.25 “The Graduates” - The end of senior year brings the excitement of graduation and the anticipation of new lives in college and beyond.

All of our favorite actors from the show are there – Mischa Barton (Marissa Cooper), Benjamin McKenzie (Ryan Atwood), Adam Brody (Seth Cohen), Melinda Clarke (Julie Cooper), Peter Gallagher (Sandy Cohen), Rachel Bilson (Summer Roberts) and Kelly Rowan (Kirsten Cohen).

Mischa admits to being the clumsiest of the cast, which is pretty funny. She looks pretty good too in this video clip. But she’s not as vocal as the others.

I miss The OC, don’t you? Just hearing the song “California” makes me miss the show.

I didn’t recognize him at first – the guy in the yellow corvette that Benjamin McKenzie (Mischa Barton’s co-star in The O.C.) arrested in the pilot episode of Southland on NBC tonight.

The guy he portrayed recognized McKenzie’s character Ben Sherman from Beverly Hills and couldn’t believe he was a cop.

While on The O.C. this guy had dark, wavy hair and caused several problems between Ryan (McKenzie) and Marissa (Barton) in the first season. In fact, I can’t stand the episodes with this guy in it. I wanted to throw a brick at the TV every time Marissa fell for his line of bull. Especially the part about his “girlfriend” Natalie, who actually worked at the hotel where he lived and helped watch over him while his parents traveled around the world.

Remember, Oliver Trask (Taylor Handley) was the rich guy who was obsessed with Marissa –  and Ryan was the only person who could see that clearly. At the end of the storyline, Oliver wouldn’t allow Marissa to leave, threatening her with a gun saying he would kill himself if she leaved. Ryan came to the rescue, of course.

In case you don’t know, Mischa Barton’s co-star Benjamin McKenzie from The O.C. is now starring in NBC’s new ensemble cop drama Southland, which will make its official premiere on Thursday, April 9 (taking ER’s coveted spot).

I’ve had the opportunity to watch the show, and think it’s worth watching. I encourage The O.C. fans to tune in.
