In the last hours of Bernie Mac’s life, he was surrounded by his wife of thirty years, his daughter, and his sister. This is what his sister has to say about what went on as Bernie neared his passing:

Comedian Bernie Mac passed away this morning from complications of pneumonia. He also suffered from sarcoidosis, an inflammatory lung disease that produces tiny lumps of cells in the body’s organs, but had said the condition went into remission in 2005.
