Questionable Choices: Kristen Stewarts British GQ Cover Is Odd

There’s something weird going on with Kristen Stewart‘s British GQ cover, and I think it’s that Kristen’s sporting a bedtime look in an outdoor setting. Kristen’s ensemble appears more sexy underthings than bikini, and it took me a couple glances to realize her hair’s supposed to be wet — to me, the connotation is “Boardwalk Empire theme party.”

GQ Isn’t Kristen’s only new cover; she also appears on this month’s Glamour. As Jezebel pointed out, Kristen’s vamped up for the men’s magazine and made to look friendly and accessible for her women’s mag shoot.

Surprise! Kristen looks miserable in both photos. You’ve got to wonder why the hell she does this stuff if it makes her so damn unhappy. Yeah, yeah… contracts, money, publicity, etc., but does it really help sell magazines to put an unsmiling, uncomfortable looking woman on the cover — no matter who she may be?

Y’all, It Looks Like Rihanna Finally Ditched the Red Hair

Big news in Rihanna‘s-hair-color-enthusiast circles: the songstress seems to be done with the fiery red that has characterized her pretty head for so many months. Photos snapped of the singer vacationing in San Tropez seem to indicate that she’s letting the color fade back to its original brown with a detour through a rusty orange. I’m like a scientist over here!

Rihanna has been working with red locks since June of 2010, and the look has stuck with her through long and short, curly and straight. Here’s another recent photo:

Questionable Choices: Bar Rafaeli Is Just Muddy, Not in Blackface

Were you as jarred by this photo flashing across your dashboard as I was? My first thought was that Bar Rafaeli decided to play some horrifically offensive tribute to Al Jolson, but it turns out the model was merely covered in mud from the Dead Sea. Still, it’s quite an image to unleash on the world, no?

Visiting her home country of Israel, Bar tweeted this photo of herself smothered in the mineral-rich Dead Sea mud that’s known for its health benefits. The text of the tweet reads, “*muddy* but feels good!! DEAD SEA- if you haven’t been… well, sucks for you!”

Sucks for us indeed — but at least that’s less offensive that the lyrics to “My Mammy.”

It’s high bikini season, which unfortunately doesn’t mean the time of year you get to walk around with a shotgun aimed obnoxious girls sunbathing in the park. Who do we prefer to see lounging about in bright colors and Hawaiian prints? Cats and dogs, of course! Plus, we can laugh at them without feeling like total jerks. Win/win!

Here are some more photos of Hilary Duff on her Hawaii vacation with Mike Comrie. I’ve yet to find any photos with Mike in them, so he stays well hidden. I’m also surprised the couple have managed to continue their vacation without more paparazzi photos. Good for them!!
