The wait is finally over for AC/DC fans, with the band announcing those long awaited Australian Black Ice tour dates. The lads will visit Australia next February and March for the first time since 2001′s Stiff Upper Lip tour.
There’s plenty of gaps between the dates, suggesting that more shows will be announced or that the boys are planning an extended holiday! There are rumours that the band will play a very special show at Ayers Rock, but that’s yet to… More »
AC/DC could add a Juno to their trophy case. The Aussie band’s comeback record Black Ice has been nominated for International Album of the Year at the Canadian equivalent of the ARIAs.
They’ll go head to head with some rock stalwarts: Metallica’s Death Magnetic and Guns N’ Roses’ Chinese Democracy are up for the gong, alongside Coldplay’s Viva La Vida and Jack Johnson’s Sleep Through the Static.
The Juno Awards are on March 29 in Vancouver.

Jessica Mauboy’s second solo single “Burn” has proven its slow burn appeal, landing at the top spot on the ARIA singles charts this week. With the single debuting eight weeks ago, I’ll bet Jess wondered if she’d ever score that number one!
It’s been a much more meteoric rise for Natalie Bassingthwaighte, who’s rocketed into ninth position with “Someday Soon.” What an awesome effort for its first week in the charts!

AC/DC’s comeback album Black Ice has been one of the year’s biggest sellers in the world this year. In America it’s just gone double-platinum.
Sure it’s only half as good as it did locally where the album went four times platinum, but it’s still nothing to sneeze at!
Given the record’s success back home, I bet you’re wondering when those local tour dates will be announced. From what I hear, you won’t be wondering much longer. Word is that AC/DC will announce… More »
Congratulations to Wes Carr, who’s finally landed the number one spot on the ARIA Charts with his debut single “You”! Wes has been hovering around the pointy end of the charts for the last couple of weeks, so it’s great to see him on top.
I can’t help wondering whether Wes’ slow burn appeal means he’s likely to have a longer career than the Australian Idols who soared straight to number one, only to plummet just as quickly. Only time will… More »
It might have only lasted one week at the top spot in Australia, but AC/DC’s Black Ice continues to do massive things all over the world. It’s currently the number one album in USA, Belgium, Germany, Denmark, Norway, Argentina, Canada, and Spain.

The American stats are really interesting though. Black Ice is the band’s first US number one, and… More »
AC/DC’s Black Ice is sitting pretty at number one on the ARIA charts. It wasn’t just the biggest selling album of the week. It’s actually the biggest selling album of the year! In fact, it could have gone number one based on New South Wales sales alone! Who said people aren’t buying CDs anymore?
The boys from Acca Dacca led the charge in a week dominated by Aussie album sales. It’s almost as if the recent ARIA Awards reminded local music… More »
