8 Personal Ads We ‘Found’ On Craigslist This Morning

Let’s just say, hypothetically, I was checking out the personal ads on Craigslist this morning, you know, for a friend. Because my friend is too shy to look for love on her own, and I stumbled across all these ads that looked awfully familiar. This ad sounds like this celebrity and this one sounds like that celebrity — or am I crazy? I am crazy, but let’s pretend I’m not.

Just because they’re rich and famous, doesn’t mean that it’s completely out of the realm of possibility that a celebrity would post an ad on Craigslist looking for love, or even, a NSA situation. So if a select handful of celebrities did post an ad, what might that ad say?

We have some thoughts on the matter. Don’t agree? Then how would your fantasy ad for your favorite celebrity read?

Rooney Mara Replaces Blake Lively In New Steven Soderbergh Film

Steven Soderbergh‘s new addiction film Side Effects has replaced Blake Lively with Rooney Mara in the leading role, following finance problems triggered by the fact that Lively isn’t Oscar-y enough.

Mara will play a pill-addicted young woman who uses various prescriptions to deal with her anxiety over her husband’s impending release from prison. Following her Oscar-nominated turn in The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, Mara is almost definitely a better bet to play such a dark role, but I’m still sad I won’t get to see Serena Van Der Woodsen‘s hair and makeup go to shit as she rides the waves of various chemical highs.

According to Deadline, it’s still uncertain whether this casting decision will be enough to get the previously gun shy Annapurna Pictures to finance it, but given the named involved, I’m sure someone will step in to provide the cast. Shooting is scheduled to begin in April.

Just last week director Steven Soderbergh announced the cast for his upcoming psychological thriller, Side Effects. The stars were to include Jude Law, Channing Tatum and as the female lead, Blake Lively, who was to play a “troubled young woman who develops a dangerous love triangle between her doctor and her newly paroled husband.” However, Annapurna pictures has evidently backed out of the project and it seems to be because of Lively.

Although there doesn’t appear to be an exact reason as to why it was thought that Lively wasn’t a good choice, many have been left wondering. Perhaps it’s her lack of experience in being a leading lady or maybe it’s hard to imagine the Gossip Girl actress playing such a tough role. Either way, Annapurna has stepped back for the meantime and discussions are now in place to find a replacement. As of now the April start date to film in New York City is still on and possible actresses for the role that are being considered are Rooney Mara and Michelle Williams who, unlike Lively, have already proven their leading lady success with both Oscar nominations and box office earnings.

Soderbergh has yet to say whether or not Lively will be cut completely or if she’ll be shifted to a supporting role instead. Before Annapurna stepped in to provide financing, both Summit and Paramount were interested but they, too, were iffy on who would be able to produce a lead female character that would make their investment worth it.

The real question here is how any producer would be willing to back Tatum, but not Lively. Another question is where did Tatum come from exactly and why does he keep getting roles? My couch is a better actor than that guy.

The First Paparazzi Photos Of Blake Lively And Ryan Reynolds Smooching Are Here

Hey look! Right up there! What’s that you see? A couple of attractive and famous people kissing, is what. Taken, as all the best paparazzi photos are, from the POV of a serial killer. It’s a mad, mad, mad, mad world.

The observant observer will note that in addition to being photographed by Son Of Sam, they are simultaneously taking self-portraits of themselves canoodling, making for a truly postmodern moment. What’s next, a picture of a smooching celeb taking a picture of a smooching celeb….who is himself, in turn, taking a picture of another smooching celeb? And the hall of mirrors collapses in upon itself.

Meanwhile, somewhere dark and quiet, Scarlett Johansson lets out a small cry of mortal ennui as she reproduces iPhone n00dz with ever more Velazquez-ian interplays of memory and perspective. What is reality?

Blake Lively continued to push the boundaries of how naked she can be in public and still be considered an icon of clothes-wearing at the party for Gossip Girl‘s 100th episode over the weekend. The flashy Marchesa number she chose for the red carpet had sort of a flapper-meets-Florence Welch-meets-Vegas-stripper vibe, so basically, she looked like a classier version of Paz de la Huerta:

The backside was fairly naked too, and seems to answer the question, “how might I show portions of my butt in the least erotic way possible”?

I don’t want to be slut-shamey or anything, but it seems like Blake is breaking several of the fashion rules that exist for someone who’s been on the cover of Vogue. Then again, if my body looked like that, I might run around wearing only pieces of a lampshade I stole from a bordello, too. What say you, readers?

Jonathan Groff Has The Luxury Of Not Caring About His Nude Photos Getting Leaked

Jonathan Groff‘s reaction to nude photos getting leaked is drastically different than the female celebrities who’ve been in the same situation: When asked about it by New York Magazine last week, the Glee and Broadway star thanked them for their concern but laughed off any anxiety, saying, “[T]he thing about the nudity… that [director Jeff Lipsky] was trying to capture in our movie was the reality of it, and not trying to hide it or cut away when people would normally be naked, so, I don’t know, it’s just a movie I did!”

Jonathan’s got two things going for him here. One is that his nudity came from a more respectable outlet—that is, the indie movie Twelve Thirty instead of snapped in a hotel room or home bathroom. According to Jeff Lipsky, the movie is a modern-day homage to The Graduate that features one guy becoming romantically and sexually involved with two women and their mother. Jonathan’s two nude scenes (as rumored) seem too few for a movie like this. But regardless, it’s an indie that decided to really pack a punch. He did it for his art, you got that?

Obviously Jonathan’s nonchalance has spread to everyone else, since the photos got leaked a year after he shot the thing. In the case of starlets getting their nude photos leaked, it was usually just a few months from when they were snapped (which helps us in guessing who they were intended for).

And therein lies the (other) rub: Jonathan is not a nubile female starlet. I have to believe that there’s a double standard at play here, that we shame female celebrities for stupidly indulging in naked photos, but applaud a young actor like Jonathan for the “daring” risk of going full-frontal on-camera. It’s who’s behind the camera that directs whether the ensuing photos are shameful or beautiful.

You know the only other celeb in recent memory who doesn’t give a shit about nude photos getting leaked? Anthony Bourdain. It’s a man’s world.
