]]> Jay-Z had the concierge at his Atlantic City hotel calling local department stores in a quest to find his favorite brand of scented candle this weekend, we hear. HOVA apparently had to have his Diptyque candles so badly that the concierge was calling New Jersey department stores more than an hour and a half away.

Jay performed at the Borgata on Saturday night, and stars like Michael Phelps, Stevie Wonder, Robin Thicke, and, of course, Beyonce were in the audience.

A guy’s night out turned into a mysterious disappearance when Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo – the MTV veejay - made a quiet exit from Borgata’s Mixx nightclub – sources report he was grinning, and she was leading the way to the elevator.

No reports on what happened once the couple landed behind closed doors, but I’m guessing Vanessa wasn’t escorting Nick anywhere close to Kim Kardashian.
