We knew it would be big, but not this big — Not even a day into it’s theatrical run, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, which officially opened last night at midnight, has already broken box office records, becoming the all-time highest-grossing pic for midnight runs. The movie earned $30 million last night, beat New Moon‘s record of $26.3 million to grab the top slot. And expect more record shattering news as we head into the long weekend. (via Variety)

But don’t worry, Cruise-fanatics, says one box-office analyst, “Look at all the stars who have been jailed or caught in compromising sexual situations and then came back. Many stars do recover. Inglourious Basterds continues to do well at box office!

Even though Inglourious Basterds is now in its third week, it’s still doing extremely well at the box office. Over the long weekend it took in over $15 million, landing in second place (after Final Destinations, another movie I’d like to see).

In total it’s made $95,226,000 which is excellent since they’ve now more than cleared the $70 million budget the movie had!

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button is pulling a great showing on the box office results so far! On just Christmas day, it made over $11 million and they’re estimating that it could hit over $45 million by the end of the weekend. It came in second place on its opening day, just behind Marley & Me.
