I never thought I would see the day…when The Wrens play a concert again. That and lots more tickets are on sale today:
The Wrens are playing a KEXP benefit with Titus Andronicus, Bell, and We Were Promised Jetpacks at Bowery Ballroom on March 13. Tickets go on sale today at noon.
The Decemberists are playing Radio City Music Hall on June 10. Tickets are on AMEX presale now, they go on regular sale on Friday at noon.

High Places @ Pitchfork Music Festival
CMJ, the annual music conference in New York akin to SXSW in Austin, has announced its initial lineup, which includes some previously announced shows. You can usually buy tickets to individual shows, or get a badge and hope to get in. If you register by August 19 you get 15% off the “all-access” badge (but sometimes the badge can’t get you in to certain shows anyway…). Here’s the lineup so far:

Some pretty great tours have been announced recently and tickets are going on sale very soon.
Beck and MGMT will be at United Palace on October 9. A presale (PASSWORD = modern) starts Friday August 1st at 10:30am. Tickets are $49. (Thanks Brooklynvegan)

Leslie Feist is blowing up. Her work with Broken Social Scene and her solo albums (including this year’s excellent The Reminder), have all led up to one thing: an iPod commercial featuring her catchy new single “1234.”
She’s gotten so huge that the New York Times has even jumped on the bandwagon. Music critic Jon Pareles will interview her during the “New York Times Arts and Leisure Week” on January 12, 2008. Tickets are on sale now.
