Throbbing Gristle Finally Coming to NYC

Throbbing Gristle Finally Coming to NYC

Throbbing Gristle, Britain’s most famous industrial rockers who defined a genre in the late 70s, are coming to the US for a short tour for the first time since 1981. They will be at Brooklyn Masonic Temple on April 16. $35 tickets are on… More »

Yeasayer and Man Man at Brooklyn Masonic

Yeasayer and Man Man at Brooklyn Masonic

Two stellar bands played the ornate Brooklyn Masonic Temple on Friday night: Brooklyn locals Yeasayer and Philly’s extravagant Man Man.

Balkan Beat Box Played at Masonic Temple

Balkan Beat Box Played at Masonic Temple

Thursday night saw a Israel-gypsy-funky party at the Brooklyn Masonic Temple. Openers Chin Chin got the energy up with their horn section and dancers on stilts that jiggled their way through the audience.

The Temple is a great place to see a show. Similar to the Warsaw, it is a beautiful old building with ornate chandeliers and ceiling work with a large open room with a stage. The Temple even has a balcony with ancient wooden fold-down seats.
