Deliciously beautiful singer/songwriter Madeline released her third album, White Flag, back in March and has been on tour promoting it. Her strong but lilting vocals draw you in and the music is a beautiful complement. Indian Jewelry is a band from Baltimore who have been around in various incarnations since 2002. They have just released their latest offering called Free Gold on We Are Free records and have been touring. They played Cake Shop last night and will be at Glasslands on Friday and at the big Todd P party at the Yard on July 4. Photo Permission: NYC Popfest
NYC Popfest is happening June 12-15 at various venues around the city. You can buy a full festival pass for $60, or you can just show up and hope to get tickets at the door. Some venues will have advance tickets for sale, but most won’t. Here’s the schedule and I starred the bands I recommend:
