Candie’s is a shoe brand that makes products specifically for teenage girls — so why are their ads targeting your creepy unmarried uncle whom you suspect might be carrying on an illicit online relationship with a 20-year-old in Bulgaria? These print ads are horrendous: they simultaneously infantalize Vanessa Hudgens and turn her into a barefoot-and-pregnant 50s housewife. More »
Following in the somewhat surprising but inspirational steps of Adrianne Curry, Britney Spears has released the before/after pics of her Photoshopped Candie’s ad. While we admire Spears for taking a stand against airbrushing by sending the less-than-flattering pics to The Daily Mirror, we wonder how the people over at the clothing company feel about their spokesperson dissing their ad campaign for “fixing” her imperfections, which included “bruises…thighs larger and dimpled with cellulite, and dry skin…on her feet.” We get being… More »

I know that in general a woman would prefer to be called beautiful or pretty or even sexy but I have to use this word right now – Britney Spears looks *adorable* in her new ad for Candie’s! Look at this!
