Pitchfork: Saturday, Part I
Pitchfork Music Festival, Chicago, IL July 19-20, 2008
The rain finally stopped at around 2 p.m. and although the sun didn’t exactly come out, at least it was cool and dry. There was plenty of mud to go around though. Saturday at the Pitchfork Music Festival saw some excellent musicians ply their trade. It’s pretty much impossible to see everyone, but I think I did a pretty good job. Here’s who I saw:

Caribou and F*ck Buttons Played Williamsburg Last Night
When I walked into the Music Hall of Williamsburg last night there was a very loud droning sound coming from the stage. So loud I could not hear myself think. It was the F*ck Buttons. The noise was unbearable, but luckily they soon got to something with a beat. They’ve been getting a lot of buzz lately, but I’m not sure I was convinced.

My Most Favorite Concert
I know it’s only 3 months into the year, but us here at the Music Channel at b5 were talking about our favorite concert this year so far…so here’s mine:
The Magnetic Fields at Town Hall.
Of course, in a few weeks from now I’ll have seen Caribou, Man Man and Yeasayer, Hot Chip, and Paul Simon so who knows how I’ll feel then!

Top 10 Artists/Bands I Wish Were at My Office Party
My office party this year consisted of bad food, limited champagne, and a boring presentation where some people got pins. Imagine if there had been some awesome live music there!! Here are the top ten artists/bands that would have made it AWESOME (but kept it classy–maybe). Maybe next year…
