Former Canadian Idol contestants are featured prominently on the list of nominees for the upcoming 2009 Canadian Radio Awards. I wasn’t surprised to see Hedley on the list which is fronted by former Idol finalist, Jacob Hoggard, but I wasn’t expecting to see Carly Rae Jepsen, Jaydee Bixby and Tara Oram. Good for them! Why Idol Auditions Should Allow Instruments Part 1

Here is one glaring example of why American Idol should allow the use of instruments during auditions (Australian Idol and Canadian Idol allow it).
Carly Rae Jepsen, 21 from Mission, B.C. So unique, so fresh, so creative. Can’t believe that’s an original song. She’s great!!!
