It’s that time again: The time of preparation for new seasonal television shows! We had some good ones over the summer, many of which we either wrote about or recapped. School is hard. Really hard. No one knows that more than former law school student Jerry O’Connell. And with his new starring role on CBS’ The Defenders, he’s putting away the law books indefinitely.
“I had to defer. I don’t want to say “drop out,” but there’s no way I can do both. I could barely do law school on its own,” admitted the star during his new series’ panel at the Television Critics Association press tour in L.A.

After recently celebrating its 100th episode, Ghost Whisperer will not be returning to CBS next year. The network revealed today that the Jennifer Love Hewitt vehicle does not have a place on its fall 2010 schedule replacing it on Friday with Medium, CSI: NY and new drama Blue Bloods.
The network also dumped Julia Louis-Dreyfus’ New Adventures of Old Christine, Cold Case, Numbers, Gary Unmarried and Accidentally on Purpose.
