Toward the end of summer in 2008, I lost my job. It was a terrible experience made even more terrible by the fact that I’d actually hated my job. Initially, of course, I walked away feeling psyched. Awesome! I thought. This is an opportunity for a fresh start! But in reality I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life, or even what I’d planned to do the next day. Doesn’t it feel like January is suddenly just a week away? Unfortunately you’ll have to wait a tad longer than that, but we are just a few weeks from the premiere of One Tree Hill season 9. From the looks of this first official trailer, Mark Schwahn has some heartache planned for OTH‘s final season. Brooke (Sophia Bush), the show’s new emotional center, narrates about her happy nostalgia concerning Tree Hill, while a tortured Nathan (James Lafferty) talks about hell and being tested.

He penned a cheesy 1940s episode of One Tree Hill in 2008 — and now he’s branched out into comic books. One Tree Hill, like Dawson’s Creek before it, films in Wilmington, North Carolina. Often, students from UNC – Wilmington get drafted into being extras on shows that are taping in town.
