I keep checking out various “best of 2009″ lists (one of my favorite things in a new year is to reflect on the best stuff of the year before) and Britney Spears keeps showing up on most of them!

One thing I’ve noticed while Britney Spears has been touring Australia is that there have been surprisingly few photos of her performances. Back in the U.S. there were plenty where we got to see her costumes and the venue. However, over the weekend I came across a personal review which included some photos.

Recently Britney Spears brought the Circus to Brisbane, Australia to the delight of her fans. Although the tour is slowly drawing closer to the end, people still seem to be enjoying the concerts and Britney is maintaining her energy.

On November 11th, Britney Spears performed in Melbourne, Australia and despite criticism for lip syncing in some of the media it seems that fans had an incredible time! Check out Britney performing “Circus”:

Britney Spears performs first Australian show in Perth
On Friday night, Perth, Australia got to finally share in the excitement of Britney Spears performing her Circus Tour. Britney took over the Burswood Dome for her own three-ring circus and it looks like the entire show was pretty high-energy.
Here’s Britney performing “Toxic” – unlike many video cameras in large venues, this one seems to have picked up the sound pretty well without much distortion.

We already knew yesterday that Britney Spears arrived safely in Australia but now some photos have surfaced as well.

Britney Spears was seen at the airport in Los Angeles Monday night, looking a little bit tired as she passed through security and got ready to board a flight.
She could have been going anywhere but Britney posted to Twitter, saying:

Britney Spears does random drug tests on her tour-mates
If you want to tour with Britney Spears you’d better be clean – and I don’t mean clean in the hygiene sense (though I’m sure that helps too). Allegedly, Britney orders random drug tests on her dancers as well as anyone else affiliated with her tour.

Britney Spears – Final American Circus show in Las Vegas
Sunday night, at the Mandalay Bay Theater in Las Vegas, Britney Spears officially closed down the North American leg of her amazing Circus Tour. Earlier in the day she had been busy enjoying quality time with her boys, but once she got up on stage she was all business.

Britney Spears wishes Louisiana a Merry Christmas
Remember when Britney Spears shouted “Merry Christmas” seemingly randomly at one of her shows? I’m starting to think it’s an inside joke of some sort because she did it again at her Louisiana show, check it out!
At 2:15 she calls out, “What’s up Louisiana?!” and then follows it with a “Merry Christmas!” It makes me laugh, I wonder what the story is behind it!

Britney Spears had a great concert in Tulsa, Oklahoma on September 15th, and judging from some of the comments on YouTube and Twitter (most of which include excited expletives, so I won’t re-post them!) it sounds like she didn’t disappoint her fans. The other night Britney Spears took Grand Forks, North Dakota by storm, bringing the Circus to town. This clip shows her performing part of “Toxic”, something that I still find to be one of her most fun songs ever.
I really love the outfit she wears for “Toxic” now in this leg of the tour.

On September 5th, Britney Spears surprised everyone by singing live when she did a cover of “You Oughta Know” by Alanis Morissette when she brought the Circus to Greensboro, North Carolina. Back on September 5th, Britney Spears did a cover of Alanis Morissette’s “You Oughta Know” while performing in Greensboro. It was awesome, check this out!

Britney Spears brought the Circus Tour to Orlando and put out one heck of a performance, as usual. From the video clips it really sounds like the crowd was appreciating every single second of it too.
