Fox looking to pick up Idol for three extra years
Despite the near-constant buzz that Simon Cowell may leave American Idol, Fox doesn’t appear to be too concerned by their high-profile judge’s possible departure.
Although Fox currently has a contract with Idol until 2011, they’re allegedly in the process of working on a deal that would see the network picking up an additional three years to keep Idol on the air. Chris Already Getting Offers
This article states that Chris Daughtry was contacted in the past by the group Fuel, to be their new frontman. Seems like after he performed their song, “Hemorrhage”, their song shot up to the Top 10 Download list on iTunes and the band contacted him at that point.
