Questionable Choices: Kristen Stewarts British GQ Cover Is Odd
There’s something weird going on with Kristen Stewart‘s British GQ cover, and I think it’s that Kristen’s sporting a bedtime look in an outdoor setting. Kristen’s ensemble appears more sexy underthings than bikini, and it took me a couple glances to realize her hair’s supposed to be wet — to me, the connotation is “Boardwalk Empire theme party.” More »

Video: Twee Cover of Cee Lo’s ‘F*ck You’ On Ukulele
I’m sorry to bring Twitter into this otherwise adorable situation, but a friend of mine wrote yesterday, “I am so tired of cute girls playing twee covers on ukuleles!” And after watching this video, I’m pretty sure he was referring to Gina Moffit (who goes by StitchedElf on YouTube) here, who has 20 uploads of herself being all twee on the ukulele with both original and cover songs (and a Glee audition video)! Taylor Momsen Just Got Some Extra Points For Her XX/Rihanna Mashup
I’m not saying that I forgive Taylor Momsen for making it trendy to look like some sort of Courtney Love/Olsen twin hybrid, I’m just saying that the XX’s “Islands” is my favorite song that I tell people about, and Eminem/Rihanna’s “Love the Way You Lie” is my favorite song that I pretend I don’t like in front of friends, and then go home and listen to on a perpetual loop.

Artists Nikki Gil and Billy Crawford recently performed a cover of Hilary Duff’s “Reach Out” (the Joe Bermudez remix) at ASAP 09 in the Philippines. It’s pretty fantastic to see someone cover Hilary Duff’s music in a live performance!

Good Cover of “Holiday”
Young musician Bianca Gisselle posted a cover of Hilary Duff’s new song, ‘Holiday’, to YouTube. It’s a really fantastic cover of Hilary’s song, so I wanted to share it with you. Bianca has a very beautiful and easy-to-listen-to voice and does a great job making this an acoustic tune:
