David Archuleta Talks to ABC Radio, Posts New Vlog
American Idol season 7 runner-up, David Archuleta, sat down with ABC News Radio yesterday where he talked about his Christmas From the Heart album (it’s great, isn’t it?!?!?) and talked about his family and all of the traditions they observe during the holiday season. He also mentioned that he’s been writing songs in Nashville and that the4 tracks are intended for his sophomore album which is due some time next year.

David Archuleta “Contigo En La Distancia” at Alma Awards
David Archuleta took home the “New Artist Award” at the 2009 Alma Awards last week and he performed this acoustic version of “Contigo En La Distancia” and it was absolutely, unequivocally beautiful. If you can listen to this and not believe that David is incredibly talented you must be deaf. Even if you don’t like his style, you gotta admit that this kid has got some pipes!

The U.S. Open is about to wrap up and, since I write about tennis, I was super surprised and excited to see David Archuleta performing “America the Beautiful” before the women’s final match between Caroline Wozniacki and Kim Clijsters (Clisjters ended up winning).

Adam Lambert, David Archuleta and Ryan Seacrest Win at Teen Choice Awards
American Idol won for “Choice TV Reality Competition,” host Ryan Seacrest was named the “Choice TV Personality” for his work on E! News and the second-place finishers from both season seven and season eight of American Idol took home prizes at the 2009 Teen Choice Awards last night.
While Adam beat out Kris Allen for “Choice TV Male Reality/Variety Star” (yikes!), Archie won for “Choice Music Breakout Artist,” “Choice Music Love Song” (for “Crush”) and “Choice Music Tour” with Demi Lovato.

The ever adorable, David Archuleta, performed the Colbie Caillat mega-hit, “Bubbly” at his concert in Pittsburgh last night. I’ve read reports on Us Weekly and RadarOnline that, Jeff Archuleta, the father of American Idol season 7 runner-up, David Archuleta, was arrested after police found him in a massage parlor with a prostitute. David Archuleta sang the Star Spangled Banner at Real Salt Lake’s home game at Rio Tinto Stadium this weekend. The American soccer club faced off against the Colorado Rapids over the weekend.
