David Cook on Acting, Paula Abdul and Donating Pants to Hard Rock

According to E!, American Idol winner, David Cook, has said that he would like to get into acting while he was doing a CD signing a the Hard Rock Cafe at Universal CityWalk in Los Angeles.

"It’s another kind of way to be creative, so I’m very on board for that." I think that it could actually work, to be honest. I think that David is an intense person and he’s had a lot of life experience which totally comes out in his music. I’m sure he could translate into something great on the big screen or television. I hope he gets some offers!

He also weighed in on the fact that Paula Abdul is not returning to Idol. "Nobody can replace her," Cook said. "I don’t think anybody should try. What made Paula work and what makes all the judges work is that they are their own people… After being critiqued, I don’t know if I can do that to someone."

No kidding! Well, for what it’s worth, I completely agree with him about Paula so it should be interesting to see how this upcoming season goes.

David also donated some pants to the Hard Rock (I love going to the different Hard Rock Cafe’s around the world and seeing all of the memorabilia so it’s cool that he did this!). Watch this quick video about the donation.

David Cook on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon

American Idol winner, David Cook, was on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon last night and I think he looked and sounded great. He performed “Come Back To Me” from his debut album, David Cook, and the more I hear this song, the more I like it. It’s kind of haunting, isn’t it? He did seem a little bit tired to me (but still great). Did you notice that? Watch the performance:

David Cook Video “Come Back To Me”

Have you seen the new music video for David Cook’s single “Come Back to Me.” He goes back in time through the whole thing and finally get to see the moment when his girlfriend leaves him at the airport. Kinda sad, actually.

Do you like the song at all? I love the words but it’s taking a while for the melody to grow on me. It’s from his David Cook album and, while it’s not as vibrant as “Light On” I think the tenderness is great. Sometimes rockers need to bring it down a notch and just sing and tell a story and I feel like that is what he’s doing here.
