Weeds S7E8 Recap: Worlds Collide

This week’s episode of Weeds brought a lot of plot lines together into one huge, incredibly dangerous tangle. The Dos and Don'ts of Drama, with 'Degrassi': Spring Break-Up

The Dos and Don’ts of Drama, with ‘Degrassi’: Runaway Girl

The Dos and Don'ts of Drama, with 'Degrassi': Runaway Girl

Now here’s the kind of excitement that Degrassi is best at: Two of its central female characters, Holly J and Alli, put themselves in danger this week but were too stubborn to make things right. Alli’s refusal to go home and either stay with ex-boyfriend Johnny at university or continue on to Toronto, plus Holly J’s propensity to push herself to her physical and emotional limits at her internship, provide the perfect lessons on how to add drama to your life. The Dos and Don’ts of Drama, with ‘Degrassi’: Finding Jesus

The Dos and Don'ts of Drama, with 'Degrassi': Finding Jesus

I’ve been a mostly-faithful Degrassi viewer since the series — meaning, the latest incarnation, Degrassi: The Next Generation — hit the airwaves in 2001. Though I strayed for a few years after the students I’d grown up with went to university, I soon found that the new crop of kids got into as much over-the-top drama as their predecessors. More »

Sex, Honestly: Working Out The Kinks

Sex, Honestly: Working Out The Kinks

Recently, a friend called me in a panic. She’d been sexting with her boyfriend and he asked for a picture of her peeing. Assuming the call was about how to get a good shot without dropping the phone in the toilet, I began to suggest the shower stall. Turns out she was actually worried about what his request might mean. If he wanted to see her peeing, would he also want her to pee on him? And if he wanted that, did it mean he also wanted her to poop on him? More »
