A Guide to the Many Home Media Releases of ‘Star Wars’
In the days leading up to Star Wars Day, a mysterious message appeared on the official Star Wars site: “On May 4th, all will be revealed…” Clicking through this message led to a timer counting down to 6am on May 4th. Naturally, the megafans bombarded the site at 6am, which caused not only it, but also the Fox Movies site, to crash dramatically. Once the servers went back up, the news was somewhat underwhelming: In September of 2011, the two trilogies will be released on Blu-Ray (which we already knew), and hey look, here’s a video to watch with some exclusive imagery to tide you over til then! ‘New Moon’ DVD: ‘Eclipse’ Clip, No Deleted Scenes
Luckily there’s a new clip from Eclipse on the New Moon DVD, or there could’ve been some hardcore rioting at Friday night’s midnight release parties when Twilight fans realized that their brand new DVDs didn’t include any deleted scenes. “Greta” DVD Australia Release
Although we’re still waiting news on how Hilary Duff’s movie, Greta, will be released in North America (sometimes we hear theatrical, sometimes DVD – there is no final word yet), it does look like the film will make its way straight to DVD in Australia on November 25th.
The DVD may also come out in Latin America (Argentina, Mexico and Brazil) on the same day and possibly will go to DVD in the UK in 2010. I will keep… More »

“What Goes Up” on DVD Today
Hilary Duff’s movie, What Goes Up, was released to DVD today! According to the What Goes Up blog, the producers are still considering a second theatrical run for the film, after the success it has met so far. Other possibilities include more film festivals as well as showing the film outside of the US. James Hoke says:
“Some of these decisions will depend on the initial DVD sales, but we really want to expand the release.”

“War, Inc” in Blu-ray Starter Kit
Hilary Duff’s War, Inc has been included in a new Blu-ray “Starter Kit” with 3 other movies. The Blu-ray kit contains “Four classic films to Jump Start your Blu-ray collection”: War, Inc./The Contract/The Proposition/Immortal.
All four films are available from First Look Pictures, with the Blu-ray pack first being made available for sale on June 2nd. Amazon is selling the pack for $36.99

Haylie Duff’s “Backwoods” on DVD
Haylie Duff’s movie, Backwoods, will be coming to DVD on June 23rd. The movie was a made-for-television horror film that premiered a year ago on Spike TV.
