Big Love star Chloe Sevigny is preparing to play axe murderer Lizzie Borden for an HBO miniseries — which is a great choice, considering her capacity for portraying deadly, emotionless women. Although screenwriter Bryce Kass is only halfway through the script, Sevigny is committed to the project: She’s even staying at the Lizzie Borden Bed & Breakfast in Fall River, MA, the town where spinster Borden hacked up her father and stepmother in 1892. (Sing the song with me: Lizzie Borden took an axe / Gave her mother 40 whacks / When she saw what she had done / She gave her father 41…) More »
One of our favorite parts of The Social Networks was watching Armie Hammer take on two roles as the Winklevoss twins. And then there’s Leaves of Grass, the small comedy film just released on DVD that has Edward Norton playing a pair of wildly different identical twins. What’s with all the brotherly love? we don’t know, but we sure aren’t complaining. We’ve put together a gallery of the best twin bros to grace the silver screen. More »
Edward Norton is apparently not enough of a “team player” to continue working in the comic book movie industries, at least according to Marvel Studios, who decided not to have the Academy Award winner reprise his role as Bruce Banner after 2008s The Incredible Hulk. Instead, the new Avengers movie, in which all our favorite superheroes from the Marvel Universe team up, is finishing up the negotiations to have The Kids Are All Right star Mark Ruffalo in the role.

After The Incredible Hulk came out in 2008, everyone was like “Meh, it was no Iron Man (though Robert Downey Jr. did have a cameo as Tony Stark in the film), but it’ll do.” But that’s the thing about comic book adaptations: They can be really great or really sucky, and half the time it has nothing to do with the actors cast but just the general difficulty of transforming a beloved series for obsessed fanboys into a CGI-packed film.

We don’t know what the hell is going on here, but Courtney Love (@CourtneyLoveUK) has just gone a half hour rampage on Twitter, directed entirely at ex-boyfriend Edward Norton (@edwardnorton). We can’t tell if she angry, or in love, or just off her meds, but it really made our Friday afternoon. Thanks Courtney!
Yes Courtney, who do you have to blow around here for this made up thing?
You’d think this was in reference to something she said earlier but nope. Btw,… More »
If you are wondering what kind of person would get up early to go grocery shopping, let me introduce myself. I won’t crack my eyes before 8 a.m. for much, I rarely get to work on time and I wouldn’t get up before dawn to clothes shop, but I’ve figured out that if you get to Whole Foods when the doors open, it’s almost as if the store has opened just for you.
So, I was annoyed when I was shopping… More »

It’s been awhile since we’ve done a Friday Flashback video at PittWatch but since Brad Pitt just accepted an award at the Spike’s Guys Choice Awards for Fight Club being inducted into the hall of fame, I thought it would be appropriate to remember the movie courtesy of a couple of clips.
This video is a one-minute mash-up tribute, to the point and excellent, it covers the eight rules of Fight Club.
And hey, remember the trailer for the movie? There’s… More »
In the comments the other day people were mentioning that there were rumors – though no photographic evidence – that Brad Pitt had flown to Los Angeles. Everyone was speculating what business he had in town, whether it was for pre-production work on Moneyball or something else. Instead it’s because last night Brad’s hit movie Fight Club was inducted into the Hall of Fame at the Spike’s Guys Choice Awards!
How exciting to see Brad Pitt and Edward Norton… More »
