Last week, a photo of Katie Holmes and daughter Suri Cruise holding a bag of penis-shaped gummy candies (shown here) made the rounds online. Today on Ellen, Katie told host Ellen DeGeneres that the whole thing was just an innocent mistake:

Recently, I took her to get ice cream in New York at this place called Serendipity that we go to all the time. It’s for kids. The clientele is children. We go in and we are waiting for a table and she grabs some gummies that are boy part gummies. I was horrified. P-e-n-i-s gummies,” she continues. “I said, ‘oh wow, those aren’t Swedish fish.’ They are called p-e-n-i-s gummies and they look like it. She was holding the box and I was like, ok, wow, we don’t need that right now.

So, how do Katie and her husband Tom Cruise talk about their sex lives? Do they have to spell out names of sex acts they want to do to each other (sorry, I just grossed myself out there for a sec)? I mean, honestly, “boy parts” is something I wouldn’t have used in conversation after the sixth grade. Also, I’m craving Swedish fish something fierce right now.

How obsessed are we with Darren Criss, the latest breakout star on Glee? Very obsessed. Some of us here have been known to watch his cover of Train‘s “Soul Sister” on an endless loop for hours. Lets face it: in a world populated by the most annoying characters on television (Sue Sylvester excluded), Darren’s Blaine is a breath of fresh and tolerable air.

And it’s paying off: The 23-year-old has already landed an Entertainment Weekly cover with co-star Chris Colpher for a gay teens on TV issue (though Darren himself is straight). He sang his version of “Teenage Dream” with Katy Perry. He’ll be making his solo magazine cover Debut for Da Man in their February/March issue as well. Not to mention all the TV appearances…

Yesterday Darren was on Ellen, singing an original song just for her…and Finding Nemo 2!

And today brings a preview of Darren singing Destiny Child‘s “Bills Bills Bills” with the Warblers in the upcoming post-Super Bowl episode.

We hope Ryan Murphy finds a way to work Blaine into a full-time role: right now, he’s the best thing Glee has going for it.

He takes it like a pro, though. Well, not too much like a pro, because that would imply a degree of jerkyness — but this kid seems so genuinely sweet and excited!

Jon Hamm was on Ellen yesterday to talk about the Bachelorette (of which he is an expert, natch), but more importantly, about the Barbie doll created in the visage of his Mad Men character, Don Draper. And we think Hamm brings up a good point: who is the doll (action figure?) marketed to? All those 10-year-old girls who love both Barbies and 1960s period dramas? Yikers. That doll totally relates to Don Draper.

When Robert Pattinson shaved his locks, the world collectively gasped, wondering, “Now is he just a regular British dude with bad hair?” Oh, well, maybe that was just us. On tomorrow’s episode of the Ellen show, Robert jokes that his new haircut — three days old at the time of taping — was the result of a case of head lice , or “nits.” He cracks: “I got a terrible infestation of nits and I had to shave it all off.”

Hilarious, Rob! Here’s the real reason: The Twilight heartthrob cut his hair for his role opposite Reese Witherspoon in the upcoming film Water for Elephants. The movie — “about a circus in the 1930′s,” he says — begins shooting Thursday in Los Angeles.

Also in his TV appearance: Host Ellen DeGeneres politely prods him about his reputation as being shy (and, let’s face it, socially awkward — see Jimmy Fallon‘s “Robert Is Bothered” sketches).

“I just like doing things where you have a little time to think about what you’re saying,” he says. “I’ve always had a problem actually thinking before I open my mouth.”

Ellen responds: “Being spontaneous?”

Robert’s answer: “Yeah, being spontaneous or just thinking. I have a problem with thinking.”

Keep those unfiltered thoughts coming, Rob. Never change! You are like the Kanye of vampire romance. Ladies, would you date a guy who said he has an issue with thinking?

Video proof that not all celebrity husbands are cheating jerks: Taye Diggs gushed (and we mean gushed) about how much he loves his six-month-old son, Walker Nathaniel Diggs, on Ellen today. He loves being a dad and you can totally tell. He’s also completely devoted to his wife, Idina Menzel, who he joked has been referring to him as “Honeywouldyoujust” lately and asking him to do little favors for her, which he is happy to oblige. After all the sad breakup news this week, seeing a man who is completely in love with his family is refreshing and heartwarming.

Lauren Graham appeared on the Ellen Degeneres Show on September 29th to talk about the upcoming theatrical release of Flash of Genius, which hits theaters on October 3rd. Of course, Lauren Graham talked at super-speed, so the interview covered a lot of ground. They start off talking about Ellen’s big 50th birthday, then move onto being just friends with Matthew Perry. Ellen loves them together, as do we all!

Lauren Graham also talks about meeting various American Idols, as well as the foreign Idols. Although she can’t remember their names ;)

After Ellen talked about how healthy Lauren looks, Lauren talks about the “thing” she’s doing with juice because “it’s very important to get [the toxins] out.” It’s Day 5 of the juice diet now, only eating juice (with just a little cheating), and perhaps that shows. Although you never can tell with Lauren & Ellen together – so much fun!

“No, no, no, I am I am. I’m totally doing it. With some extras, you know. Because they call it a ‘fast’ and I call it ‘suggestions’” – Lauren Graham on her juice diet

After Ellen comments that Lauren is not really so much more crazy than any other time, but does look great, Lauren says:

“It’s the raw food, then. I’ll just say it’s that. Maybe I’ve been the same way all of these years because of the raw food… that I haven’t been having. OMG, I’m so… needing a pizza!”

About seven minutes through the interview, Lauren Graham starts to talk about Flash of Genius. A movie that Lauren landed after being on Ellen!
