There were a lot of videos coming up for the search for “Hilary Duff”, but I thought there were fewer fan videos than usual. Have you ever made a fan video about Hilary Duff?

I was unable to confirm this from the Make-A-Wish foundation website, but let’s assume it’s true, since they had photos!

According to the news report, Sara Burke, who has aplastic anemia, requested to meet Hilary Duff through the foundation. On June 17th, she got her wish. The report doesn’t say what Sara’s experience was like meeting Hilary, but does mention why she chose Hilary:

“Hilary Duff is a positive role model,” Sara said. “She stays who she is.”

We definitely agree that Hilary is still a great role model for kids!

So, although Hilary hasn’t put out much in the way of new music this year, maybe we can still get her to the VMAs. Go to this post and leave a comment saying you want Hilary Duff there!!

Who knows, maybe we can make a difference and get Hilary there! At the very least, maybe she’ll be impressed enough by her fans to actually attend – because just seeing Hilary on the red carpet would be nice too!

Hilary had jumped up 147 positions to top the list for the day, and also became the #6 overall search for Yahoo. Today, she’s already lost her top position on the Actors index, dropping back to #19. But still fantastic that so many people are excited about Hilary coming to Gossip Girl!

As you know, Hilary Duff will be appearing on Gossip Girl for a guest arc this upcoming season. The CW also has some other starlets coming to their shows… so far announced are Ashlee Simpson-Wentz, who will star on Melrose Place, and Rumer Willis, who will guest star on 90210.

Hilary Duff is offering a lunch or dinner with her (in NYC or LA) for charity. Proceeds from the auction will go to Hilary’s charity, Blessings in a Backpack, and the Junior League of Louisville’s community projects.

The auction closes on February 12th. Currently the bid is $2000!! If you want a lunch with Hilary, you can bid here.

Depending on what you think is ‘fun’, this may be more interesting to you than owning a pair of Hilary Duff’s shoes.

As you know, American Idol added a 4th judge this season, Kara DioGuardi. Kara worked with Hilary Duff on many of her singles, and in her Johnjay & Rich interview, Hilary had nothing but high praise for Kara’s work and how she helped Hilary open herself up in her songwriting process.

If you watched the introduction segment to Kara in the first episode of American Idol this season, you would have seen one of Hilary’s CDs flashed across the screen. They showed the cover for her ‘Metamorphosis‘ CD (odd that they wouldn’t show her most recent CD!)

And our last reference comes from 2009 American Idol contestant Lea Marie Golde, who described herself as a “cross between Hilary Duff and Madonna.” Well, she was not a good singer, and has not made it to Hollywood. She also was perhaps too big of a fan of Kara DioGuardi’s work! *shudder* Sorry Lea – there’s only one Hilary Duff!
