The Knitting Factory had been a fixture of downtown New York for decades until it closed last year. After much delay, it is finally reopening in Brooklyn, at 361 Metropolitan Ave. in Williamsburg to be exact.
To celebrate their grand opening tomorrow (Wednesday September 9), Les Savy Fav will be playing. It’s all sold out (probably to industry insiders), but the bar will still be open to the public.

Girl in a Coma, a threesome from Texas who were just on Cyndi Lauper’s “True Colors” tour this summer, will be opening for Tegan and Sarah on their upcoming tour, which includes two dates at Terminal 5. They’ve also toured with Morrisey, the Toadies, and Frank Black so they’re used to be around great talent.
