Governor’s Island Show This Weekend Canceled
If you were planning on going to see Brazilian Girls, Phenomenal Handclap Band, and Man Man at the beach at Governor’s Island this Friday, October 2, don’t bother–it’s canceled. A Brazilian Girls show in Boston on October 6 was also canceled, due to immigration issues. Phenomenal Handclap Band will finally headline their own show at Bowery Ballroom on December 11. Erykah Badu at Governor’s Island
The Beach at Governor’s Island is working on becoming the new outdoor venue in New York. The Highline Ballroom is presenting some shows there this summer, some of which are pretty good, including the one and only Erykah Badu, Mos Def, and the B-52s:
